I decided against it , not because I love city any less, not because I dont want to go , not because am any less of a city fan than anyone else, not that I cant afford it, simply just because I donnt think any premier league game is worth £50, I dont think that makes me a lesser fans just that I dont agree with the pricing of the game end of, I dont think anyone can really justify £50 for a game unless your on mega money, and every none ST holder I have spoken to will not pay this either so good luck city in selling them.
A correct one mind.

-- Wed Aug 04, 2010 12:43 am --

Corky said:The value season cards were very limited.
Only bald people with bad eye sight could not see this.
Are ticket prices for lower cat matches have not been released yet, s these cheaper tickets are just an assumption.
Here fucking here.trevorcitytilidie said:I totally understand that if you are not a season card holder u r going to find it expensive to watch most of the games this season, however I am really struggling financially at the moment but by deciding to sacrifice a lot of chances to go out and socialise with my mates last year and cutting down in other areas I put a few quid away each week which meant I was able to afford to renew my season ticket again this year at £450. Paying say £40 a game if you are going to the majority of the games is such a false economy and also not a guarantee that you can get tickets for every game you would like to go to so I suppose it's all about how much watchin City means to you.
If you want to watch all the league games make some sacrifices if City means that much to you, buy a season card and you will only end up paying about £27 per game. If you can only get to 2 or 3 games a season then £40 to £50 per game over the year is still expensive but as 1 or 2 or 3 off then you can't grumble.
Apologies to those really on the breadline who have no way of even saving for a season ticket or even affording a £40 ticket I am not including you in this rant - However I have many friends who think nothing of spending £80 to £100 on a night out and then say they can't afford to go to watch City, I suppose it's all about motivation.

It's good when chavs are priced out of nice pubs, like The Metin West Dids. I just make sure I have a few at home before I go.Regular Joe said:ayia napa blues said:I rang up today to purchase my city ticket for liverpool and was shocked they wanted to charge me £50 plus the booking fee for a a crap seat too.

I agree with this.
It's like the choice between drinking a pint of beer in a pub for £2.50 or the same amount of beer in a can at home for under a quid.
It's not that you don't love beer.
And you really want to support your local pub, keep it going, and socialise with your mates.
But the difference in price is becoming too much . You increasingly can't justify it, but you keep going.
Suddenly your backstreet local pub is taken over, done up, and becomes the only place to be in town. In fact it becomes the best place to be in the whole world.
At first the new owners charge Joey Holts prices for top class ale and you can't believe your luck. Then they do up the vault and take the raisins out of the pies. Only too late do you realise that this is not all some gift from God for you. It is to attract a new sort of customer.
Gradually the prices rise out of reach. It's now over £3.50 a pint and you can't afford to go. The owners don't care as the place is packed out every night.
You head to the supermarket and pick up a cheap pack of beer.
Although you can no longer afford to drink there you take great pride in telling everyone that you were a regular when it was a shithole.
No one really cares.
