Is it just me or have our ticket prices increased vastly ??

* And yes, I do realise this is only 1 game and the 'saving' for home games to Wigan or Stoke isn't going to be as great.

This does my head in! I pay my season ticket, i want to see us play EVERYONE, not just the 'sky 4'. It doesn't sit right with me when someone says, i'm coming over for the liverpool game or the chelsea game. A fan would try and get to every game, not just the 'glamour' games. I don't go to see drogba, torres, fabregas, rooney or defoe, i go to watch the boys in blue, muller who ever the opponents are.

Agreed.
Tbh, if it got to the stage where I couldn't afford it (which unfortunately might happen), I'd much rather get to 4/5 games a season against 'lower' opposition, than go to just 1 'big' game.

As long as the season ticket holders are happy then thats the priority.
I can only go to 1 or 2 games a season, it costs me a shit load but worth every penny.

I don't think anybody is arguing with that. Those who fork out the money for a season ticket at the start of the season (in whatever sport it is) are more than entitled to see some saving over the course of the season.

I think the problem is that when you average the prices out over the course of the season, to have those who are unable, whether it be logistics or just plain cost, to buy a season ticket paying £20* more to attend a game seems a bit excessive. (season ticket for Colin Bell Lv 3 centre blocks is £550 or roughly £28 a game, while I paid this morning £48 to sit in that area for the Liverpool game).

It's costing me almost as much just to get into the game as it is for flight and hotel combined. Will it put me off going? Probably not as I want to see my team play but I might just have to reassess how many times I make the trip across this season if £40-£50 ticket prices prove to be the norm rather than the exception.

i also have noticed this and am now deciding to sack goin to the liverpool game was gonna go with a mate but for 100 quid we cant afford.

however its close to last seasons prices , i can remember the club being angry at united for charging us 47 quid to get in and then for the league game they charged the same

i hope we dont end up like chelsea or scum where people cant afford to get in, as i know so many scum fans that cant afford to go anym

due to the fact i live about 4 hours away by car. its difficult to get to a lot games, but i try to get to as many as possible. but perhaps this year i may have to deal with the fact i might not be able to get to as many as i would like to becasue of the prices
You get to Manchester from Edinburgh in 4 hours? 'Kinell.

we do have one of the best season ticket deals in the league but thats if you can afford it yes like some people said you can save up, but for lots of people they have other rsponsibilities than football which makes it hard

and if you have a family its hard to get the money i know quite a few families who cant afford to go but would love to

btw - my bad on the owners / owner thing a typing error
