Is it Just Me or...??

was thinking about posting about this just yesterday....i have been living down in london for 3 years and am living in the old arsenal stadium which is flats now, so you can imagine its a big arsenal area but just yesterday i noticed one of the young kids playin footy outside had a city top on! i thought to myself hmmmm things are changing!

I posted yesterday that they are literally crawling out of the woodwork in Dublin now!

And Didsbury I dont think people are saying it's a bad thing, just it's a surprise that there's been this many all along,it's like now though us City fans are wearing it with pride on the streets whereas before supporters may not have bought or worn merchandise as much as now.

Agree entirely, my post was aimed at a few posts I've seen on here that seem to think attracting new supporters is a bad thing. I remember about 10 years ago where every kid you saw had a United top on, I'm really glad thats changing.

Am I seeing sh!t loads more people sporting City gear around Manchester(Of course I can't speak for anywhere else as I don't live anywhere else!)??

I've always wore my tops on regular basis, but I swear I'm seeing all kinds of wear being branded whereas, in previous years, I'm pretty sure it was relative rare, in comparison to now!

I'm walking through town, the other day, and it's like a secret society of Blues have decided they don't want to be secret any more! I'm wearing my black away shirt, my son's in the home kit and I'm getting respected nods from fellow Blues! I'm not complaining cos I think it's great!

Just... Where have you all been??!!!

For me I just didn't like the shirts to wear on a casual basis so only wore it on match day - now with the new gear I've invariably got one of the new shirts on - I think that is something to do with it too.

Been a blue all my life but never really have a shirt on unless watching a match (not owned a shirt for at least 3 years) but this year I'm buying a new shirt and will have it on when I'm away (miss the fecking gooners game!) and I'll be proud. Think a lot of people are the same.

Manchester has all ways been blue, the huge population of stay at homes who for one reason or another don't go to matches are blue. Even though the rags have a large following, most of the (potential)!!! (would be)!!! football supporters would be blue.
The kit is great this year though, the owners new what they were doing when they invested in us.!!

Two of us wearing the shirt to the game today when we don't normally.

being in australia finding a man city fan is relatively rare, in fact iv only ever seen two people in my whole life sporting man city jerseys (one was a cheap aisian fake worn by a seven year old).

so yes, once i start seeing people around here wearing them i will KNOW we're getting big :P

A few of you posters have had a similar thought to the reason.

So, is it just the new kit design that has re-awakened the City passion(after all, the away design especially has a uber cool/ Nu Skool Chic look to it!!)?

Or is it the knowledge that we're a credible threat to the Sky Four??
