I'd say the rest of the country are getting in a right state about this but to be honest I get the feeling that many of us are sick of all the rumours etc and just want us to get back to playing football. I don't think Kaka will sign, in fact I'll say right now that I'm not particularly excited because I don't see it happening and if we do get him and pay him half a million a week it will cause all sorts of problems.

I want us to be successful with our own legends. Robinho is okay, he never really did it at Madrid, he can become our own legend. I see the likes of Petrov, Zab and Kompany as our own players. Obviously SWP, Ireland, Michah, Dunney, Joe and all the rest are our players.

I won't complain if we do get Kaka, I just dream of us being able to get success without having to buy players who have done it all. I will always have a greater affinity with Ireland than the likes of Kaka should we get him.

I agree with Dereck Jeffries as to what we require on the pitch. If it turns out that Kaka is the only signing and I will believe that when I see it, I would be concerned.

What this team lacks is not flair but steel, especially away from home.

It isn't the Kaka thing per se, is it? Its the fact that it represents the extent of our ambition. Thats why people are getting carried away, or leastways its why I'm getting carried away.

We need Kaka to show all the other superstars that City are serious.
Once he joins, many more will follow.
