If City hold on to their 2 goal lead against Fulham, which we know against Fulham is not always a given, then they will be 2 points ahead of Dippers with 2 games in hand. Spuds will are 4 points ahead with a game in hand on Dippers (I am aware the game in hand is against City), but Dippers have 7 games left to make up anywhere from 5 to 8 points. I don't think they can.

Dont count your chickens just yet.

Remember what happened last time we went 2-0 up against Fugham...

Don't forget about villa, if we beat both villa and spurs then 4th spot should be ours.

Id imagine Aston "unbeaten in 2010 in the league" villa might have a say about our 2 horse race

Agree that Liverpool have alot to do to get 4th now

A win today and a win against Everton would be huge for us

6 draws in those 9 games though.

Before today on the predictor I had us finishing 4th, 2 points ahead of Villa.

But I had us down for 1 point today. More confident than ever now.

But everything is gonna come down to the two home games against Villa and Spurs. Hopefully they'll be playing each other in the cup final and their minds will be elsewhere

3 teams in it. Us villa and spurs.
We have both of them at home to come. We are in charge of our own destiny. Well done Mancini.

This.

I think Liverpool have pretty much been seen off now

--------------Played---PTS
4.Tottenham----30------55
5.Man City------29------53
6.Liverpool------31------51
7.Aston Villa----29------50

Praying for a win vs Everton!!!!

isnt our game in hand played on wednesday??? I think Everton is that match... can we win that we are looking well and truly on our way... still plenty of tough matches to be played with Ushited spuds, villa all coming to us and we still have to face arsenal away

A win over Everton and I'd be over the moon. Just done the predictor and have tried to be conservative for us and optimistic for the others. With

Everton (h) D
Wigan (h) W
Burnley (a) W
Birmingham (h) W
Man Utd (h) D
Arsenal (a) L
Aston Villa (h) W
Tottenham (h) W
West Ham (a) W

Has us 4th with 73 and clear by 4 points, and this is with me predicting Spurs to get draws at home to Arsenal and Chelsea. The two massive games are Spurs and Villa without doubt. Win those and we're in a fantastic position :-)

Villa are still in there and alot will depend on how Spurs do with their run of Arsenal, Chelsea and the scum.

It is however in our own hands, win our remaining 6 home games and CL here we come.

I agree, it is between us and Spurs. Spurs have the consistency whilst we have the games in hand. Villa and scouse are going to fade.

I'm confused. When I was on here yesterday I'm sure I read that it was all over and Tottenham had secured fourth place? Now we're back in it? I don't know what to believe anymore...

The only thing I know for sure is that this place is more erratic than my wife when she's on the blob.

My opinion is we are clear favourites for 4th place now. 6 out of 9 games at home is a huge advantage. Tottenham and Villa have to come to us too.

Ours to lose.

has it not occoured to you that you were wrong about todays game?
and that leads me to believe you are probably wrong about other results

any of us 4 can take it, who knows yet.

Liverpool could win every game till the end of the season, we draw against Villa and Spurs points dropped, Spurs lose to United, Arsenal and Chelsea their advantage is gone and I'm sure Villa will drop points too.

It's too easy to say it's a two horse race, Liverpool were ahead of us up to a few hours ago.

I do think we have to beat both Spurs and Villa at home to stand a chance though.

I wouldn't go ruling Liverpool out yet but if we manage to beat Everton midweek the pressure the pressure will really be on them. I've been saying since before xmass that it will be the games against dippers spurs and villa that would decide the outcome of 4th. Had we managed to beat the dippers they would be out of it now, but equally had we lost they would still be ahead of us.

Beat Villa and Spurs and we will definitely be in the champions league. Fail to do that and it could still be anybody's
