Is it too late at 31

Never to late, I drove a Black Cab for over 10yrs then i also had enough and at 32 i dicided to try plumbing and i still enjoy doing it.
But if i was you i would hold out a little longer at least wait for the climate to change as there is'nt much out there atm. and anyone in your position (in a serure job) is very lucky indeed.

At 28 I gave up my job working as a Project Manager to train as an Air Traffic Controller as I had had enough and needed a change. Real random move in terms of experience I had at the time etc etc and a few people thought I was nuts.

Five years on it's one of the best moves I ever made, bloody hard work to get there but worth it in the end. My advice is that if you do decide to change, make sure you research it well enough to ensure that if you do retrain, you won't find yourself in the same boat another few years down the line.

Good luck...

sorry for hijacking your thread mate, but I'm the same.

I've got a degree in Commerical Management and work in the most mundane job in the construction industry as a project manager.

I know how fortunate I am to have a job at them moment, but I really cant stand it.

I would love to get a job in football finance or banking but I wouldnt have a clue where to start. I have been in this job for about 7 years now since I left Uni.

Thank your lucky stars you have a job.

+!

The amount of people unemployed, would kill for your work experience and industry know-how.

As GSC said: maybe try working in the same sector at a different company?

New faces.

You know shit has got real when people start plussing apostrophes
