it's a favourite of mine and my kids. Not because its any good but because we watched it in a tent in the rain at Malham cove when we were all feeling a bit miserable and it cheered us up. One of those films that we quote to each other.

Love Will Ferrell ! can't beat a good comedy movie to cheer you up on a miserable day.

The 2009 film is related to an American televsion programme from the early 1970's developed by Syd and Marty Kroger (makers of other bad television). It had the same title.

It ws a cartoon series. I think it was called "The land that time forgot" in the UK. The family got sucked in to a whirlpool in the opening credits and end up in a subterranian world where people and dinosaurs co-existed.
Just checking if anyone has seen it yet if it is the Will Ferrell parody of it.
If Will Ferrell is in it I won't be watching. I realise comedy is subjective, but I just don't find him funny. In fact he irritates the fucking shit out of me.

Not a parody. It's a Will Ferrell comedy as people before have said. Has a distinct 'B-Movie' feel to it. I really like the film, so much so I bought it on DVD so I could re-watch it. Some absolutely brilliant moments in it, and I'd definitely recommend watching it.
