Is left back really a problem?

As a left back he is abysmal. Never blocks a cross, and I mean never, no real presence in the air for his size and no ability to sense danger. He is ok’ish in the other teams half, but struggles to find a man. Add in the injury prone element and he has been a catastrophic signing in my view.

Tagliafico would be the most sensible option here. 28, good experience, knows how to play in a similar system, has good stamina as well.

Doubt he costs more than £30m odd. But I read a report today that his agent is looking for offers, but Ajax believe they can keep him and are about to offer a new contract. Best chance to get him before they tie him up, clearly they won't mind a sale if they're willing to wait till end of transfer window.

Id be selling(donating) Mendy and putting Cancelo there with an academy understudy on the bench.Ake is also reassurance.

Zinchenko on the sale list too, although i've never really counted him as a left back for the reason he isn't.

If we don't get a left back I bet we'll wait till Jan and just bring back Angeliño after cutting his loan short. Wouldn't surprise me at all

Angeliño was home grown too, not that he's good defensively but at least he's good going forward, Aké could cover him for what it's worth. But we still decided on selling

Worse signing in our history the way mendy carry’s himself away from the team playing around media singing and dancing around like he is the team joker really boils my piss . He isn’t even worth a £1 million tbh .
