What you think, is Liverpool vulnerable to big transfer offers, after last financial report?
Or in other words, are there any chances to pick up some selected BIG name players from them in case things start to deteriorate even more for them?
Is some buzz in the air, about a Rafa calling quits in case transfer budget get cut. Can anyone confirm this?

I wish they sell either Alonso or Mascherano cause they are the engine of their midfield. Mascherano is linked with Barca i hope he goes there and Alonso with City and Madrid i just hope he goes to Madrid ;p but wouldn't mind if he joined you, but i don't think that will happen cause didn't u just get Barry, still anything can happen.
Liverlucky are just a couple of players away from the title, one RB and a striker so i hope Tevez joins you as I don't think we're too interested in him. If he goes to Liverpool, then they can win the title. But I hope Rafa gets no more than 20m to spend ;]

I'm of the opinnion they wont be in that financial mess 4 long the owners have shown good profits its just the loans and interest that fooking them some arabs will buy them imo.

I think the key signal will be if Rafa quits. It will be a free fall from there. ;)

it will depend on what the stipulations of any deal to refinance the loans that Liverpool get

the basis of the Liverpool on the rock press is due to the fact that the refinancing of deal of the debts is not in place. As soon as the deals are sorted out with the RBS Liverpool will be a health operation once again.

The more likely scenario is that the Banks will extend the loans, leaving the owners struggling to pay the interest, and fund transfers

Assuming the reports are true, i.e. they are so strapped for cash that they are now looking at a forced ground-sharing move with Everton in the future, the answer is yes.

For e.g. if we were to put in a bid say of £25m for Xabi Alonso, it just might succeed.

I don't know if Liverpool is vulnerable to big transfer offers.

true but all that would result in would be the down sizing of the Liverpool squad to generate some extra cash for transfer and reduce the wage bill. I think there will be a lot of the fringe players moving from Liverpool and if a very big bid for a star player came in it would have to be considered. But it doesn't mean they have to accept

I do think it would be interesting to see what happens if a big bid was placed for Gerrad or Torres.
