There are worse. Roissy-Charles de Gaulle is hands down the worst airport that I've had to go through in the world. I won't even begin to list everything that's wrong with it. Atlanta's not too pleasant.
The low cost terminal for Lyon is staggering. When you go through the gate into the waiting area there are no seats. You have to lean against those stand-up things. If they got you through and boarding within five or ten minutes it would be one thing. But I've been in there (packed in like sardines, incidentally) for up to half-an-hour.
The really poor thing about Manchester is the incredible slowness of the baggage security system. I just don't understand why it takes so long. Gatwick, which fields many, many people, is exemplary by comparison. It's the most efficient bag security system that I've come across anywhere on the planet.
