Is Manchester airport the worst in Europe?

There are worse. Roissy-Charles de Gaulle is hands down the worst airport that I've had to go through in the world. I won't even begin to list everything that's wrong with it. Atlanta's not too pleasant.
The low cost terminal for Lyon is staggering. When you go through the gate into the waiting area there are no seats. You have to lean against those stand-up things. If they got you through and boarding within five or ten minutes it would be one thing. But I've been in there (packed in like sardines, incidentally) for up to half-an-hour.

The really poor thing about Manchester is the incredible slowness of the baggage security system. I just don't understand why it takes so long. Gatwick, which fields many, many people, is exemplary by comparison. It's the most efficient bag security system that I've come across anywhere on the planet.

MA grew too fast and has become sprawl. The new development near The Romper should never have been supported. Big sheds and crap everywhere like a Reading retail park.

Less airlines flying into Manchester direct from Toronto these days for some reason. $684.00CDN to fly into Gatwick and $897.00 to Manchester on the same day.
Looks like only air Canada is flying into Manchester from here these days.

Detest Manchester Airport ,believe it or not i prefer flying from Liverpool

Its not great thats a cert. I have used it a few times in the last 12 months and often with a wheelchair bound partner. I have to say whilst on our first trip we witnessed some pretty bad behaviour on from the security lot other than that I have found the staff there pretty good and usually not beyond a laugh and some fun. No question it is enough of a ball ache to try to fly from elsewhere sensible. I think it is just not fit for purpose given the numbers going through the place.

Sad to say it is also true that in general flying out of Liverpool is a much less stressful experience and the staff there are also pretty good.

I liked Stansted in January for Malaga. I next use Luton. It’s a Wizzair flight so I imagine they use the crappy airports!
