Does he understand simple mathematics, eg

A draw (1) is closer to a loss (0) than a win (3).

3 draws has the same points value as 1 win and 2 defeats. We are better off playing to win and occasionally losing than playing out drab draws.

Is it 2 points for a win in Italian football?

Mancini isn't thick but an awful lot of our supporters don't seem to have any understanding of them game.

Unfortunately, every now and then he gives the thickest amongst us some ammunition to fire at him.

The Tevez sub was one such occasion, and while I'm frustrated I can't find too much fault with our approach.
