After the Summer transfer i always thought we needed 1 more player in each position down the spine (i.e. 1 Striker, 1 CM, 1 central defender), plus perhaps a right-back.
With Zab blossoming, Micah improving, and Boateng still yet to really settle, i think we're ok at right-back now. We've got the striker.
So add a left-sided centre-back (who could cover left-back), and another quality passer of the ball in midfield, get rid of the dead wood and we'd be sorted.
It's a very strong squad, seeing how we've coped with injuries and a lot of fixtures whilst keeping the wins rolling over, Mancini has rotated well. But it's not perfect, take for example Yaya having to play the 3 league matches we had in a week around Christmas time, he's not the fittest and was absolutely running on empty in the 3rd match. I think we need someone like Fabregas, ease the creative burden on Silva, but who can play a bit deeper as well.
I still don't really trust Lescott, sometimes he can be immense, win everything, but at other times he's cumbersome and clumsy. I think if Kompany gets an injury the defence is very vulnerable.
Also next season will be the ACON so the Toure bros will be away.
