Is Premier League football becoming less entertaining?

I did question that to begin with to be honest, but with lower league (league one, league two) I can watch happily..... It almost feels that football, especially for Premier League clubs, has become less of a community... Once I use to think that without the fans a club would die on it's arse, now I get the feeling that a large majority of clubs think they could probably still go on without fans!

maybe, but tbf lots of lower teams charge ridiculous prices for tickets swell. i think city is still quite good for community stuff especially in east manchester. lots of people thought the same under pearce and started not going. I'm not aiming this at you, but if we started winning again you wouldn't see these complaints as much. we've been spoilt a lot :)

feel the same, tonight was bobbins as have been most games this season. The standard of football, tactics, HG players and signings don't merit the money in the slightest, across the league.

Funny you mention the winning stuff, I find this fucking mental but after we won the league and league cup under Pellegrini I obvs celebrated but literally 30 mins later I'm gone, like don't give a fuck anymore, so much so I remember the season after we beat Liverpool in the ELC final I forgot we won the fucking thing!

I agree City still do a lot for the community, but it seems more PR now then it use to be which doesn't bother me as the local surrounding areas are getting a massive influx of funding.... Tickets are fairy cheap for now, but I feel as though you're not really apart of the club any more, you're a spectator these days more than a member!

I miss seeing that willingness and extra desire players use to get from wearing the shirt as well, not to say none of our players care, but when we use to see Dunne, Weaver, Richards, Dickov.... put the shirt on and have that fire and aggression in their game for the club! Even the players we have now that use to have that flair seem to have lost it Zaba and Vinnie mostly as their aggression and flair for us use to be off the charts, so it's more noticeable now...

I just feel modern day managers what their players to be clean cut, professionals rather than the wear your heart on your sleeve kind of players.... You see it at all the top clubs, you notice it more at clubs like Arsenal and United also, at how uninterested some of their players can look these days.

Premier League is wank. It's over for me.

From proper characters like Gerrard, Keane, Ince, Vieria to dancing puppets like Lingard, Pogba or serial selfy weirdos like Gundogan and Ozil.

I get more buzz watching premier league years or end of season city videos/dvd than the shite that is served up now.

The quality at the top end has gone massively downhill.

Compared to recent years I have barely watched any Premier League games compared to other seasons.

The Premier League are doing a Del Boy job selling the league at the moment.

Ask Newcastle and Brighton fans if they feel the same way ?
I think we all get our droughts as a fan but something unexpectedly happens which pulls you back in , aguerroooooo last second, Leicester winning the title, West Ham putting the nail in spurs title hope next week I'm buzzing for.

You still get the odd moments but the quality has definitely got worse at the top. Even the relegation threatened teams considering what they spend nowadays are absolutely awful.

The league is more competitive because the top teams have got weaker.

I don't buy the idea that the mid-table teams have got better because the likes of Southampton and West Ham have lasted two minutes in the Europa League in recent years. I expected Everton to do better the other year as well.

The big one for me is the atmosphere's. Getting worse and worse as the years go on whilst we are expect to pay more and more as the years go on.

This.

Were being priced out of watching our club and players in the flesh. The so called average wage is £26,000 a year. I call bullshit on that. I would argue the average of loal city fans is 10 grand less. Were being priced out in the name of profit. Those rag ****s started it in 92 and we're following. Our owners don't need the money so why charge us "Market rates" to watch? They could come down to £15 a match but are afraid the corporates would be offended by seeing passionate blues giving their all in the stands.

We have Showsec who want us to act like we're at at an opera that doesn't help the fans that can afford to go. I'm passionate, I sing and shout when I manage to a game and get warned for doing so. I'm not offensive to people around me. I love City, yet feel penalised when I go for showing my passion.
