Is Silva what you expected?

scoring or not i love him they way he saves us with the creativeness in the team and to add something to these i don't understand why Tevez has decide not to let silva have is day with that penalty.

i think villa has been class all season, and he will be our best player for many years to come.
when did we sign him.

I don't know. I'd check his wikipedia page, but he probably doesn't even have one.

Yes he is playing well but I expected more goals. Assists are all well and good but he needs more goals.

He said himself he likes to create goals more than scoring. We've got Carlos, Dzeko and Balotelli to get us goals.

Even better than expected. He never scored that many goals its his passing movement and assists.

Fantastic player.
However for me both Yaya and Barry seem to do more.
The stats for both these players will bare that out aswell.
Yaya is on the Barclays team of the week again this week(third time already this year I think)which is something David has not been yet.

The bare stats won't tell you how many times Silva's passing opens up the defence for another player to lay on a chance. Even if it ends in a goal the stats won't credit Silva.

Yaya and barry have not been given enough credit on here, yaya was treated particularly badly imo, but they have all been outstanding.

We knew we were buying quality from his performances for Valencia and Spain and he hasn't let us down. He is also far stronger physically than I ever imagined and he has taken to the different demands of the Premiership in his stride.

He does need more Goals though. I am not expecting 15 or 20 like Fat Frank or Stevie Overrated he isn't that type of player; but he should be good for 6 -10 a season - like Benayoun or Arshavin or even Ireland under Hughes.
