not having a dig at him or anything but weeks ago when he first came on this site he got RSC, taylor and tevez right all in one thread and also said that elano was history.

we havent heard anything for a while about elano in the news and a picture of him looking happy in the new kit recently appeared on the OS.

im not saying spursmad is a WUM and i hope he's right but i just wondered why its so quiet on the elano front?
any one else thinking the same?

Eto'o was a done deal. It only fell apart coz Eto'o was arguing with Barca about aloyalty payment. As far as City were concerned, we finalised eveything that we could. They couldn't sort out their end, so we walked away.
Spursmad was spot on saying it was done - cannot criticize him on that one.
Also, with elano, it's early days yet. I personally hope he stays, but think he's burned his bridges with Hughes.

Most of his info has proved to have been solid; I don't see how you can call him a WUM.

Sure, some people might have banded about Stuart Taylor as a potential backup GK, but no one else said we had actually signed him before SM (including papers, other ITK's etc).

Obviously Eto'o wasn't 100% done as he said (and the same looks true of the Lescott deal), but none of these big deals are straightforward; things can change at the last moment. Maybe his source was a bit premature in saying it was 100% done, or maybe SM embellished a little after his source was right before, who knows?

Anyway, it doesn't really matter as nearly all of his info has been solid and correct, so to suggest he's a wumer is dumbfounding really.

Nothing is 100% 'done' until a contract is signed, regardless of what anyone says. People take this too seriously. Good times are just around the corner. ENJOY.

And I agree with this. I know someone who works for Blackburn who I've known since school, who told me about RSC after a meeting in April when Big Fat Sam went ballistic, after being told by the Chairman he had to go and that they couldn't turn down the £18m City were offering. I'm sure SM likewise knows someone at City and fortunately for us finds out snippets of things that are going on at the club, and consequently I also agree with others that he should not be hounded off this board, I'm sure he is posting in good faith.

I can't remember Taylor or Barry being all over the web or in the papers, however SM told us a good 24 hours before either was picked up by the papers. But hey this is a forum and people can believe what they want to. I've no problem with that.
