is stephen hawking correct? there is no heaven

Would this not logically be better discussed under the atheist / agnostic thread?

The answer is that he doesn't know and neither will anyone in this lifetime.

The more older you get the more you want to believe! You have more chance in coming back If you put your body in the deep freezer

I agree.

Earlier, though, on my way to the toilet, there was a bang at the top of my stairs. I didn't see it, so cannot be sure, but I reckon it might have been one of those burgling, bumbling spaghetti monsters. Prove me wrong.

i think such a statement from britain's most eminent scientist is worthy of its own thread.

what do you mean by this lifetime?
as you seem to think there is judging by your performance in the in other thread, although your attempts at backing it up have been shoddy to say the least.

Who's gives a a smokey robinson - the man has dedicated, along with others, his life to science and in essence developing theory, his theory concludes that he doesn't hold 'much' hope for an afterlife - and we should also dedicate our life to pursuing happiness.

Well i worked this out at 14 and don't need any equations to reinforce my belief, take some of your own advice hawks and get drag racing in your pimped out two wheeler.

i thought a clean slate would be in order as the other thread was getting messy

For the people that say he is wrong, heaven cant be proved one way or another.

If i was to say ... when you die you will go to heaven greeted by Luke Skywalker and will swim in a beautiful ocean with the Lockness Monster... would you still say that because it cant be proved against that this is a possibility ?
