Is SWP finished for us?

ive always liked swp but he has been gash for quite a while now, but imho.
its the big fish in a small pond thing..
top player at city before he went to chelsea went there and struggled really struggled to get in the team. then came back to us played well for a while the big money then came in followed by some class players and swp cant hack it andh asnt played well since,

Eh?

Johnson more often than not will skin his marker. And if he does lose the ball, he goes and gets it.

Shaun will run at defenders, then run into the defender, and then fall down. He hasn't beat a player with footwork since the Arsenal CC match.

Adam johnson switched wings with SWP at the end of the first half, Johnson did 1 thing in 15 seconds on the right-wing, that took SWP 43 minutes to do.

I would be embarrassed if he goes to South Africa - done nothing all season to merit it. Dont get me wrong, I obviously want as many City players as possible there to be flying the blue flag, but he's really done nothing to justify selection.
 
Ruined him at Stamford Bridge.

Before he went to Chelsea he was an instinctive player who would always take his man on. Now you can almost hear his brain whirring as he debates with himself what he should do when he has possession of the ball.

His bloody father doesn't help matters either.

Haha was that when SWP had his third run at their left back and surprise surprise tried to beat him on the outside. Their left back knew it was coming and pre-empted SWP's latest predicatble attempt but overcooked the challenge and fell over

SWP is a very primitive footballer who's technically very poor and is probably never gonna be that great a player for us anymore. I would have liked him in the squad for the next couple of years but with the contract situation as it is I don't particularly care whether he's moved on at the end of the season or not.

I wouldn't worry yourself. Evry time he plays his chances of going to SA diminish rapidly. I'm just waiting to hear his dads rant and who he blames when the squad is read out and SWP ain't in it
 
Would love him to come through this patch but its been going on for quite a while now.Cant see the club deciding to extend his contract at present and up his money,can you justify commiting 100k a week for him in2/3 years time?
Or if his dad had his way for the next 5 years!

to be embarrassed if swp went is to me going over the top a little but capello does not have much choice really when you look at his options on the right swp,lennon,Walcott,Young have all been inconsistent or injured this season.

swp has just enough time to sort his form out and may just make africa with capello's options very much limited for the right position!

As a long time admirer of SWP, I wouldn't go so far as to say he's finished (yet), but I'm worried. I can't seem to put my finger on the problem, but he seems to have lost that zip that he used to have. Defenders used to shit themselves when he was running at them, but it all seems a bit too predictable and easy to defend now. He needs a man of the match type performance, and quickly, or I can see Mancini giving up on him soon.
 
Defenses are so scared of him every time he gets the ball he draws 2 or 3 defenders creating space for others so for me he is still doing a job.
I know he is not in the best of form but i don't know what some people are watching defenders don't shit themselves or kick the shit out of him because he is a bad player its because he is so good and is a constant threat

He will find his form
 
Once again someone came on and did more than he did. It happened when Johnson came on against Sunderland, and it happened last night with Bellamy. As soon as Bellamy came on, we began to hastle them in midfield and chase the game. We really took the game to Wigan in the second half, albeit for 2 long hoofs to the lonely nancy boy Marceno (I don't know if I've spelt his name correctly). You have to criticise José Mourinho for what he did to Wright-Phillips though. We sent him off to Chelsea hoping that he would do the same for a bigger club on almost a world scale, but instead... Mourinho sucked the life out of his career and spat him back out at us. Ever since he went to Chelsea, he hasn't been worthy of a starting place. He has scored a few decent goals, but if you look at Bellamy and Johnson: they don't score many but people like them because they can link with players (Tevez). So it is down to lack of control and being unable to find that pass that he could once find. He's Vieira, just a few years behind. Shaun must be a sex addict. He spends most of his time 'coming inside'.
 
How he can ask for a new contract with two years left to run putting in pereformances like that last night is beyond me.... Not interested in his dip in form he's on 60k a week.. His saving grace is he's not the only one... Tevez is running his bollocks off to get us that 4th place its about time a few of the others started to earn their inflated salaries
