Is the club going to put in an official complaint about the officiating on Saturday?

We weren't good enough to get a result. We weren't robbed by the officials. Even if they made errors or were poor... it wasn't blatant corruption.

Pep needs the squad to work harder to score more and concede less. Obviously. Anything else is a waste of effort and an unnecessary distraction.

I'd agree with this to a point blue, but goals change games. If we get any of the pens (and we actually score one ffs), it could have been a whole different game, confidence flows a bit better when you have a lead, crowd quietens down a bit.

I will say it would be lovely to see us as ruthless as we have been in years gone by, because these days, we simply aren't.

This has got fuck all to do with Liverpool FC and what they do, it's about us!

If we continue to accept bent officiating we will continue getting shafted. Enough is enough!

Time we called VAR cheating out, simple as that.
It will be an utter waste of time and just end up with all other fans laughing at us like we laugh at the dippers’ antics.

The offside for Bruno G is starting to look more and more like a stitch up. The image just looks nothing like what was happening on the pitch. It’s been created out of thin air but done really badly, surely they will get found at on that?

I'd just like to know the process and the reason.

We all saw Foden contacted on his ankle, at some force. Why did the referee not think it a penalty and why did var not get involved, as it seemed a clear and obvious error?

Why did the offside graphic take so long to be shown, especially if it's now semi automatic, and why did it then show a measurement from Dias' armpit, and a CGI image that quite obviously didn't match the actual still?

That's all, no need for dipper sour grapes or days of shouting we've been victimised. I, as a fan, and the players and coaching staff as interested parties, would just like to be educated on what the rules of the game are now. Clearly we have different ideas between fans, players and officials.

Because the alternative is we tell Foden or Doku or whoever to stay down, writhe around on agony, force the decision, and who wants to see that?

The standard of officiating itself throughout the game though, was shocking. The yellow card threshold seemed variable depending on the match time and player, but that's not unique to that game. Eight seconds for goalies but up to a minute for drying the ball discreetly via a sub's bib and taking a throw in? But after a contentious defeat is not the time to bring attention to the wider issues of the game, unfortunately.
We were told no penalty on Foden because he had already taken his shot, that was the reason and the process.

I’d rather city fans get laughed at for standing up for themselves than laughed at for being some kind of fucking hero’s who get trampled on and remain tight lipped.
The fact that we never complain may just carry a bit of weight when we finally do.
The reality is that we won’t though so it’ll just be blues online bickering about it and the world continues to turn..

Your sure you would have the exact same opinion if if involved a different team?

All this is just a smoke screen. We should be focussing on Haaland having a blank day and Foden missing sitters. And our defence consistently allowing gilt edge chances.
Both can be true at the same time. Terrible finishing and atrocious refereeing aren’t unheard of. Those just dismissing the latter to focus on the former are trying too hard..

Unless there is evidence of manipulation on the offside nothng worth it imo.
I do think these losses are avoidable if we just had better people on the ball. We don't keep the ball half as good as we used to.

Great idea, let's turn the forum into an echo chamber-better still lets restrict viewing it to verified members only like RAWK then we can look as cultish as the fukin Dippers!
We don’t have to do either of those things. Taking it to the extremes to make a point is just a nonsense.

I guess the foul for a ‘late tackle’ must have been wiped. I don’t remember hearing that smashing into an opponent late or after the ball had been played was now ok, but maybe that’s the case now.
Weirdly enough I’d say that fact the defender was late, reckless and nowhere near the ball would make the foul more obvious than not, but apparently no, as long as you get your shot away it’s all good.

Bullshit is what it is. We were stitched up on a few decisions on Saturday.

The OP was quite specific that he just wanted a reason and the process that was followed, we already have that. If you agree is a different argument.

In one way no I don’t think they should because I thought it was embarrassing when Liverpool and Arsenal done it. But in another way I think they should because we’d be the 3rd big club to hang PGMOL out to dry and the more clubs that complain the better
