As it never seems to be remotely full should the club have a rethink and maybe reduce the size of the family stand area or relocating it

Well if the ground has sold out then surely it's full? Won't be for night games, although at least with the new exchange system there's a way to sell the tickets on

Since when were families stopped from going to night games ? when was the last time it was full .

Clearly you're not stopped, but kids have school the following day, so hardly convenient, hence empty seats. And whenever the ground is sold out, the stand must be full, otherwise it wouldn't be sold out.

I said at the time when we were forcibly moved that it was way to big for demand. Embarrassing that there are swathes of empty seats there at every game

The odd game midweek game

The point of the family stand is to encourage youngsters to be Blues. When ADUG took over we had 35,000 loyals and could occasionally get 45k if pushed but the majority were over 40. ADUG were looking forward and wanted generations of Blues so they created a stand for families, with entertainers etc. Yes on some night matches it is half full, even Saturday matches it seems 3/4 full but the bigger picture is 10/20 years from now when what started with one dad and two kids is one Granddad and 2kids and 5 grandkids (OK perhaps a little longer but that is the aim)

We stopped being shit 8 years ago, it's going to be a few more years yet before we start to see kids choose to support City over United. At the minute it's still just kids who's family/friends have brought them up as a City fan. We'll start to see more and more kids choose City for themselves over United within the next 4-5 years.
