Is the Family Stand fit for Purpose?

I just looked at the planner and basically, apart from a few seats here and there, it is sold out. So tomorrow, when you look at the Family Stand it will be interesting to see just how many seats are left empty...which presumably means season ticket holders not turning up for whatever reason. I suppose that this would also mean they have not passed on their ticket to family or friends or maybe did not bother to use the ticket exchange either.

I am no expert ....''WorsleyWeb' seems to be the good at this....but if City fans fill the away areas that Crystal Palace have not taken then the crowd, based on tickets sold, will presumably be in the region of 54,000 for the game.

It's simple.

Expand the North stand, stick the families up there, ;-) make the bottom tier safe standing with affordable tickets, and it will be full every game.

Yes, lets stick the kids and next generation of fans up in the gods of the third tier - so thoughtful of you.

Some oddball answers here. Ive sat in the Family Stand since 2004 in tier 2; the view is excellent and the number of kids in there, who are the next generation of our fans, has increased greatly over the years. Id agree not all the bottom tier needs to be part of the Family Stand, but sticking young kids up in the gods is a non-starter. A better idea to increase the numbers coming through the gate? 1) Get rid of the Cityzens scheme of charging people for the right to then pay again for a ticket;
2) Ticket prices need lowering for games; fans shouldnt be paying more than £25-£30 tops in the bottom tier behind the goal, or in the third tiers.

Clearly you're not stopped, but kids have school the following day, so hardly convenient, hence empty seats. And whenever the ground is sold out, the stand must be full, otherwise it wouldn't be sold out.
That is a feable excuse ,why buy a ticket if you have no intention of going .I have yet to see it full this season even on a Saturday it looks embarrassing and with 10 min to go it is almost deserted .it is far to big and I think the size should be reduced

If a. Kids season card works out at £7 a game no one is going to pay £30 to upgrade it to an adult to try and sell it on at a loss.=seat remains empty

Not all kids in there

I've moved there this season from East level 2 and every match I'm surrounded by blokes without a kid in sight!!

One even admitted his lads are now over 16 but the club didn't say anything so neither did they

I see you're back on here again stirring up arguments about the size of the crowd.
Only this time you've picked families and kids as your target

You still in Turkey moaning about kids not turning up on school nights? Do you think you have a right to criticise parents who choose to keep their kids at home for night games whilst you pontificate from nearly 2000 miles away.

You are clearly trolling this forum as a cursory glance at your threads will see a very common theme

I was on joking, hence the ;-)

Safe standing isn't going to happen either.

I sit in south stand tier 1 empty seats in there too. Any tickets the club sells for a game not season ticket, ie one off tickets. They should be 1 price club choose the seat starting from row 1 that are available around the ground and work upwards so it looks as full as possible. We cant control season ticket holder who hasn't turned up.
