Ah good old music snobbery. I got shit loads of abuse at school for having "Soft Cell" written on me rucksack...no I'm not gay you bros/duran duran loving thundercunts I happen to appreciate the vocal talent that is Marc Almond. Ah the memories, who doesn't know know tainted love? The word "anthem" is often over used when describing music, but when it comes to tainted love, that is an anthem of the 80s. We lived, we lived.

In fairness mate Tainted Love was a northern soul hit for Gloria Jones when the only pint of white stuff that Marc Almond got to swallow was free school milk.
It was an anthem at Wigan Casino long before Soft Cell covered it.
I did like Say Hello, Wave Goodbye though.

The first 2 albums were something else at the time, fucking brilliant stuff.

It's weird i'm very much more of a Rock type person. Those first two albums though are two of the very thew albums i like every single song on.

I much prefer guitar based music normally too, but I'm the same with the first 2 albums. I don't need to skip any.

I quite like the Plan B nod to northern soul and I'm rather taken with John Newman...

Not a huge fan of rap but I think Eminem is a genius, I like a lot of his tracks.

genius is labouring it a bit!!! he filled a gap in the market......but some stuff is good.
