The weight's been on Tevez for ages so it's only natural that he wants someone established to work with up front. Just Balotelli was never going to be enough.

I can see a forward three of Silva - Dzeko - Tevez terrorising defences.

With a more balanced team from having an out and out striker, I wonder if some of the pressure will be off the midfield defence wise, and for a lot of games we would be able to play NDJ as def. mid./Yaya as centre mid/ Silva creative mid and then Balo/Tevez/Dzeko up front?

I'd like to think that the right and left full backs can play forward in a wb role (they already do run an overlap) with the dm falling back to a cb position as needed(which NDJ usually does anyway). This creates a 2-3 back 5, with Silva and Yaya for instance pushing up to the forward three. 2-3-2-3.

I thought he was a Goalie. To be honest, I go up on to the Concourse after 20 minutes and start queueing for beer.

Silva's not a midfielder in the form of Barry or Yaya. He's far more attacking on the flanks. He's up in the final third of the pitch with Tevez and Balotelli / Milner / Jo.
