he's turned down a move....Chelsea or rags the likely destination

Chelsea it is then.

And what? Bye bye Essien? I think not. Yaya, Essien and Lampard ... not enough room for all three. Yaya wants games, not to sit on another bench in another league.

There must be something in this. Can't see Chelsea being able to fit all 3 in. Hopefully Kolo can big the club up, and he'll end up with us.

reading that it say that we bid for alves for 45 mill euros and read the bottom line
Before entering, let out. Barca is no stranger to this and works to get the most revenue possible for the failure to follow. Today, the focus is on Yaya Toure and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, that might change of scenery.

Manchester City representatives were yesterday in Barcelona and moved their interest in the Ivorian and the Swedish Blaugrana technical secretary Txiki Begiristain, and the general director of football, Raul Sanllehí. The surprise was that the British also offered 45 million euros for Dani Alves, but they took a categorical 'no' for an answer. However, cases are open Touré and Ibra.

Robert Mancini, coach of the 'sky blues', believes that Africa would provide a high level in English football, where physical strength becomes more important. So, the City offered 20 million euros for the Ivorian international, who has just contract in 2012 (the club paid nine to Olympiacos in 2007). The entity has assessed Touré blaugrana 35 million euros, although it could reduce this figure to 30, as made them aware of this yesterday and Sanllehí Txiki.

However, the player does not want to anchor in the City despite being rediscover his brother Kolo, signed from Arsenal last summer. The Ivorian want titles and knows that the City is not a 'big' and is not even qualified for the next Champions League. Furthermore, Touré has already taken the decision of playing at Chelsea next season and expects a final offer of the entity 'blue'.

Yesterday, his agent and mentor, Dmitri Selçuk, spoke clearly about the future of the midfielder. "Toure is far from the City and has no offer from Real Madrid. Played in a major, and today, of our concern are the Chelsea and Manchester United, "said the Russian representative.

For his part, seems Ibrahimovic away from the boat as the days pass, especially since the arrival of David Villa. Mancini believes that form a large trident with Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, but Ibra is not so clear. He does not like the British weather, with little sunshine and rain, and believes it would be a step back while waiting for an offer from Milan. There is even speculation that Massimo Moratti would have asked him repatriated for Inter.

But the City is one of the few places where it could maintain its form, around nine million per year. In addition, Ibra was on the orders Mancini at Inter between 2006 and 2008 and the Italian coach has phoned several times to convince him. FC Barcelona asks 50 million, but could lower its claims given that they would save nearly 40 by the four campaigns that detract contract.

What about Dani Alves? Well ... nothing. The sighs City by Brazilian long and yesterday presented the said offer of 45 million euros, but the former is not for sale Sevilla. The right side is a fundamental player and Pep Guardiola is engraved with a hot iron their non-transferable.

To add more spice to the cases of e Ibra Touré, UEFA are about to sign to ban clubs with financial balances unbalanced. The City could be among those affected and, therefore, wants to sign as soon as possible ... There will be news soon.

All I'm saying is it's Chelsea or nothing.

The rags simply don't sign players of that calibre or price tag anymore and won't for the foreseeable future, that's the way it is now - I don't why some parts of the media have been a lot slower at getting this into their head than others.

I disagree mate. I think that Yaya wants out of Barcelona THIS Summer. Of course, they're a great team, arguably the best in the world right now BUT he is also a great player and whilst he won't be on peanuts he's simply not playing anywhere near as much as he wants to. Footballers crave playing time more than anything else (unless you're Winston Bogarde). After that it is money and winning titles/competitions. If he stays it will be "second verse, same as the first" for him.

However, he could of course join Chelsea - greater chance of winning trophies than us right now? YES. Greater chance of more playing time than us? With Essien in the ranks ... NOPE!

I suppose with Yaya it will boil down to one thing .. will City win something (Title/CL) sooner rather than later? Yes IMO. Can Cook/Marwood/Mancini convince him of that? There in lies the million dollar question. I'm hoping we've leaned from our mistakes and the answer is a resounding YES. Time will tell I guess.

Oh yeah I'm not saying I think City are out of the question - just that IF that article is true and it's between Chelsea or the rags, it can only be Chelsea, should've been clearer really...
