Is your weekend now ruined ?

Gutted at losing but we've been on a good run which is some consolation so week end not totally ruined. As others have stated will today avoid MOD, the sports parts of papers and Talksport.

This is the way I feel after every draw to a shit team or a loss. I feel I have to now wait a week to have that satisfaction of a win again and have to go through the week with defeat looming over me. But tbh the game has not effected me as much today , it never reaally does when we are just unlucky , when I know we deserved to win the game. If we had played awful for the the full 90 , then yeah I'd be depressed but we battered villa and were more than unlucky . So I am not as bothered by what has happened , but I am still a tad depressed after it because it is still a loss

had to listen to the last 15 minutes in the car on the way to see jimmy carr in concert, i was fuming then the wife has her say..you have to lose sometime, bla bla bla, i just said the mood im in this dick better be funny! typical city (bollox to all that tin hat crap!!) bent to score on his debut, why dont we invest in a wizard or merlin? must be cursed

Yes always a bit of a downer especially when reds live next door to you who never fuckin go,took the dog out late last night and she dropped 1 right on is doorstep so that was a nice present for the red twat this morning...I think all us city fans feel cheesed off when we lose, cant even turn the t'v on cause there will be some twat slagging us off saying the bubble is bursting they fuckin love it....Onwards & upwards blueboys no ones got fans like us..anyway time to take the dog out i reckon shes ready for another delivery!!!!!!!

Especially that everton twat tomorrow morning on talkshite who absoultly fuckin despises us and the red bellend even on earlier!

been miserable since the full-time whistle. Of course we lose and it's the beginning of one of the few weeks where we don't play mid-week to get this awful taste out of my mouth.

I also can't be arsed watching any football today.

I fuckin hate it when we lose and now cannot be arsed with fuck all.
It takes a good couple of days to get defeats out of my system so i will be sulking like fuck until then.
Still don't know how we lost the game and will think about fuck all else for ages.
Roll on a week sunday.

Not anymore. Defeats in the days when we were shit were much harder to take for me because it always reinforced that we were shit and that downbeat feeling reinforced that things were never going to get better. Sometimes there were the thoughts of "what's the fuckin point?" yet I still kept going back.

Now a defeat is much easier to take. I know that next week we could well go and put in a display to be proud of and always in the back of my mind now is the fact we are going to be the best around in a few years time. A defeat is just a learning curve on the way to the top. we didn't play all that badly yesterday and we're third and I'm happy; win, lose or draw!

Strangely enough after avoiding any channel remotly football related last night and having work this morning i have managed to crack on, normally i drink myself to sleep and then loathe the sunday more than anything

Yes but it still so disapointing 70% possesion and we still cannot score U** are not playing well and are still stuffing the poorer teams, whereas we seem unable to do so. At Coms Villa were the worst team we have played so far and I know Dunney stiffened their defence considerably but still. Just as others have said it leaves me feeling flat, not interested in M O D only glanced at the papers and will have to wait for two weeks now for a chance to get over it.

Never compare individual games. Villa were shit at ours but that was just in one game. They were fuckin mint against United and at Chelsea. Every single game is different so don't take us stuffing someone as a marker for how good that team is for the rest of the season.

And the highlighted bit:
Because we are nowhere near the finished article. Read a good 5 or 6 of the threads on here today, many people have explained very well what we're missing, where we're going wrong and why. This season we will lose a few more games that we really should win. I said it after we lost to Sunderland and Wolves and drew against Brum and Blackburn. Next season it will still happen, but maybe half as much. Probably by the season after that we'll have everything ironed out and in place.

We shouldn't compare ourselves to United. As much as we think they haven't played well they also haven't even looked like losing. I think they'll be 10 points ahead of us at the end of the season. And I'm not arsed about them. I'm more intersted in us!

When we lose (as well as when we draw or win, play badly or well) I like to watch the whole 90mins back (or as much as you get on Football First). You see the game again from a less biased, less emotional, more rational point of view. I find a fairly good performance but a defeat outlines more than any other kind of result where we are going wrong or what we are missing.

Chin up eh lads!
