I think this represents Iso's last opportunity to get a move to City, after he turned us down last time. He has to push for the move at his end, which by all accounts he is doing.

My only worry would be if Benitez gets sacked and replaced by Zidane, who might try and persuade Isco to stay.

It's a matter of whether we want him or not really, all the noise is obviously coming from his end pushing for the move
 
If we are indeed in for him & close as many suggest then I don't see it making much difference whether he comes in January or the summer. He doesn't solve current problems so if we're forced to wait until summer then so be it IMO, great asset for the future but in the formation we currently operate he doesn't exactly change much.
