No its not Fantasyireland. Nor is your characterization of my position. I think we are going to win the league regardless. But I'll be certain ifvee added another talent as good as Isco.
Its all about opinions pal......and mine is,i dont believe we will win the league with our current defensive frailties.Anyway,we both agree Isco would be an incredible purchase.

The only way this deal happens is if he's going to play in a midfield 2 or 3.

Admittedly he was very good under Ancelotti in a midfield 2, but that was in La Liga, and although I think he'd do a good job because he's tenacious in defence and great on the ball, I can't see us benching Yaya.

And unless we play him there, he might as well stay at Madrid because he's going to be on the bench when Sterling/Silva/KDB are fit. That's the exact situation he's trying to move away from at Real.

I agree with you on the frailties. But I've gone and re-reviewed the 1st 5 games and realized those frailties were there then too. We just hid them better with possession and scoring first.
So we need to continue hidingbthem by making possesion even better, and hopefully keeping Aguero healthy so we can guarantee scoring first often.

I wouldn't bet on that.

Well why don't you enlighten me. We didn't spend £100m on Sterling and De Bruyne to bench them, and Isco is not a better 10 than Silva. No one thinks that.
Sterling already doesn't start all the time without Isco. If Isco showschis talent Sterling becomes the first off the bench.

And that team would improve our possession and probably win us the league. Those were my thoughts all along :)
i think Isco can be more box to box than many think, but he would need a more defensively minded partner than Fernadinho alongside him probably. i would prefer a 3 from Fernando, Fernandinho, Delph and Isco and an attacking 3 from Sterling, Silva , KDB, Aguero, Iheanacho,

Dax 777 You are such a fool it's embarrassing.

It seems your reasoning on anything is correct, but just an opinion, whilst everyone else's opinion is wrong and is poor reasoning.

The facts remain, are indisputable; Isco does not guarantee success. If he did, every club outside Barcelona would be trying to buy him or even Madrid might even play him!

Now away you go you miserable urchin and bore off!

You underrate Fernandihno. He is both the most attacking and defensive CM we have. Him behind Isco and Silva is enough.

Teams will have effective counters on us, they will regardless of who we play there. Unless we intend to become a counter attacking team, which we don't. Teams are bound to get at us, it happens to Barca and Bayern the 2 best possession teams. So it will happen to us. It's unavoidable if you wanna play the way we play. We just have to make our strengths stronger. Rather than getting caught up in our weaknesses. And undermining our strengths just to marginally improve it.

You seem to have a problem understanding the difference BTW opinion and facts used in support of a point. My assertion was an opinion. Your attempts to sound smart on the other hand, by using facts that are at best tangentially relevant was poor reasoning.

You however are free tonopine that we are not guaranteed to win the league with Isco. And you would be correct. That would be an opinion. A well founded one I might add. As nothing is guaranteed.

You could even opine that we specifically wouldn't win the league If we got Isco. That too will be fine. As it will be an opinion.

But when you take tangentially relevant facts and attempt to pass it off as good counter to an opinion held by someone else, don't get salty when they call you on it.

Using your reasoning, we shouldn't have bought DeBryune or Silva or Aguero when we did, since they couldn't win the league in the country they played in.

Now if you are learning anything from this exchange, yous catch the poor reasoning I just used there. Better yet, spot the one in yours.

Point being, don't come at me with that silly shaite. Oh yeah, I'm a fool. What else you got?
