Malaga and their owner wanted to sell to RM. The offer that Perez made along with the loan of one of their players was the key fact in this matter imo

Malaga get the money they want and also a player as a replacement without having to spend - I remember Isco stating he would do what is also best for Malaga

I'm sure we loaned them RSC last season and paid the majority of his wages.

I don't get the argument that they are angry with no compensation for Pellegrini, ffs they didn't even pay him and the squad for most of the season and Malaga earned the club a good crust from the epic efforts in CL.

City should have matched the fee Madrid offered though, it's bad to lose on a player for the sake of a few million.

I agree Nip, but the choice was also the players and he might not have wanted to leave Spain after weighing up the opportunities

I wish the lad the very, very best of luck with success and hope he gets the chance he deserves at Madrid and doesn't end up wasted like Modric is. He has his work cut out with displacing Ronaldo and Ozil but credit to the lad for taking the challenge on.

The best thing about this move for him is his chances of playing for the Spanish senior team will increase on the back of signing for Madrid. That will obviously be a big part of his thoughts and I can see the logic in that. Arbeloa is average at best yet plays for Spain, same goes for Valdes at Barca who in my opinion isn't as good as Reina or De Gea.
