Isco

I think we moved on to Silva when it became clear that Isco would stay at Madrid. Not dissimilar scenario to when we landed Aguero after missing out on Sanchez, and that worked out pretty well.
Not in the slightest bit true. Aguero had been bagged for months. Sanchez was an additional target that didn't come off thanks to Barca's interest.

Definitely. Worked out OK when we missed out on Dybala and bought Bony instead.

We signed both Sterling and De Bruyne during that summer and still had Jovetic and Dzeko still on the books and Kelechi waiting in the wings.

Nope, we have already got a very good alternative in Bernardo Silva.

Signing the contract Real had drawn up. He had left it unsigned for 3 weeks. I think he was waiting to see if Bale was started ahead of him.

But Bale was injured for a long time, so its not reasonable to decide on this one.

The way I see it is that Isco will sign new contract and will stay with Real.

He won 3 Champions League trophies in the past 4 years.

He wasn't automatic starter but he played so much and contributed a lot to the team success.

He is Spanish and playing for Real Madrid, therefore it doesn't make any sense to leave.

I'm actually glad that we ended up with Bernardo instead of him even tho he is a class player.

Never been a big fan of Isco but thought he was terrific last night. He will definitely stay at Madrid.
