According to the BBC the 3 fighter jets are MIG 21/23s.
MIG 21s first flew in the 1960s.
MIG 23s first flew in the 1970s.
How long do you think either of these antiquated ex Soviet Union jets would last in a dog fight with say a F18 from one of the USN carriers.
Minutes at the very most.They may as well be flying a Camel from a desert .

Wouldn't worry about it too much, the 3 ISIS pilots that fly them will live about 10 minutes, in other words a kamikaze mission, the Yanks, the Iraqis, the Syrians, GB and the Israelis know exactly where the 3 planes are, they are just sat there pissing themselves waiting for the daft twats to take off

This will change the goalposts a bit. Reports suggest defecting Iraqi pilots are training ISIS to fly 3 captured jets, my guess is first stop Israel. If they can get in low level fully loaded and manage to fire off a few missiles before been shot down it will cause chaos.

They wont have 3 planes for long & if they or any of these islamic nutters go anywhere near Israel they will get smashed.
Far bigger fish than these have tried to wipe Israel off the map,they have and will always fail.

They will be blasted out of the sky in about 10 mins of taking off if not less, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if they are destroyed on the ground in the next few days

No, they're simply using the box as a diversion, it's riddled with single parent ebola planes with winter-inducing black boxes.

Will they just be satisfied with forming a caliphate or are they intending to take over other countries apart from Iraq and Syria? If they capture Kobane is there a danger that they might try to invade Turkey? Of course, I'd expect the Turks to flatten them if they attempted something like that but it's impossible to know what they will stop at.

ISIS being quite smart in having mainly captured areas in northern Iraq which is sunni dominated and who are less likely to commit to arms against the sunni dominated ISIS .

With it being shia dominated I don't think they would be able to even capture and hold any power over even southern Iraq.

The chances in other countries is virtually Nil.
