As far as I'm aware ISIS now have approx 30,000 fighters controlling an area the size of England and Wales with over 4 million inhabitants... not too sure there's much the SAS and SBS could do.

They may have 30k fighters but I guarentee the vast majority of them will stop fighting once the top dogs are wiped out. That's why I firmly believe that sending special troops and using air strikes is the right way to go. Remove that Al-Baghdadi character who they worship and then some of the leaders and commanders below him and the rest will give up.

The rest might well give up but they'll have been sufficiently brainwashed to follow the next man singing the same song as soon as he emerges. There won't be a shortage of leaders who want to enjoy a high degree power before a US drone sends them to hell. The person predicting that future is responsible for policing in London, and it sounds like he's on the cadge for more budget for his department, he hasn't got any figures to back him up, he's just a politician on the scrounge filling the media with scare stories.

It's a dilemma without a doubt. Is there any surgical way to take them out? Not without boots on the ground.And people going around saying ISIS are a threat to every person in the world are misguided. They aren't. They're just another band of medieval sociopaths.

Absolutely fucking insane these people. As a Muslim I'm disgusted and quite happy to see uae and other Arab countries finally committing to military action against these bastards. They've killed thousands without even the slightest remorse including women and children

They like the current leader because he is a descendant from the same tribe that the prophet as from. I know it's not exactly the same but Hitler brainwashed an entire nation into believing his ideas. They will always harbour a deep resentment for the west but if we remove the leaders I think a lot of them will give up.
