Yep, don’t take it personally if a post is removed. We’re just trying to get the thread back on topic. As you say, trying to moderate this thread is pretty difficult at the moment. 95% of all reports are about it.

I don’t claim to have read everything in here, but my impression has been that condemnation has been of Israel or the Israeli government and Hamas. Not Jewish people or Palestinians.

There has also been condemnation of posters who like football tribalism, refuse to criticise their side.

I have no time for any religious ethos, Catholic/Protestant, Christian Judaism, Islam or any other fantasy that people allow dictate state policy or let’s supersede internationally recognised protocols and agreements.

We in Ireland have had our own history of church leading state and gladly I believe we have rejected that and are all the better for it and hopefully will see the North’s youth drop this element that is holding back progress too.

We need to own our own mistakes of the past and hopefully learn from them and from others who have been through similar.

I said earlier that most people know what’s right even when they are defending the indefensible. Justice for all citizens should be to the fore of government policy and we as citizens should know what is moral and hold our governments to account if we know they are doing wrong in our name.

I find myself agreeing with much of that which you have posted on this thread

My recent ancestors were Irish, who came to England. I grew up recognising the hell that was the Protestant/Catholic divide that erupted over 50 years ago, but I was also made aware (by my grandparents) of the futility of it all.

My grandfather sang Irish rebel songs, mainly because it was a link to his own Father who had died relatively young.

Yet he was always an "Englishman" who valued the peace of England and the common sense of dialogue. He was also a fierce Trade Unionist so maybe that's where the value of "negotiation" came.

I think I'm just trying to emulate what you are saying....that people want to be left in peace to raise their families. To be able to "worship" if they want to, but to also know that people do things that are not in our name. No matter how they dress it up.

Man’s inhumanity to man is sickening. When will we learn. We bring children into this world and then do this to them. If there is a god he will be sat there with his head in his hands and thinking I gave mankind everything and look what he does. This is so upsetting and so fucking pointless.

There isn’t a god.

The quicker the world comes to terms with this, the less shit like this situation we’ll see.

I believe they are investigating , I have seen a couple of videos of a failed launch , no idea if they are connected its horrible either way
