I don't think that is fair reporting regarding the chants at Leeds

Scum fans could be clearly heard on national tv chanting about the deaths of the Leeds fans, however their argument is that it is ok because Leeds chanted about Munich
The evidence for this is based on camera phone footage, was this last night, how many were involved, as it couldn't be picked up by the Sky mikes as we would have all heard it

It's the usual shit of defending any wrongdoing by the scum by attaching blame for their actions elsewhere

There arguement when they say we did it because they chanted Munich fails big time as they went in with a made up banner. pre-medatated actions methiks

Not some spur the moment drunken sing song
They went there with the intention to mock and vilify the dead

You can't say that!!! They don't do things like that, they knocked it up in the toilets when they heard a cacaphony of Munich chants (not audible on the telly) and just happened to have all the materials on them.

Completely agree mate. The term "obscene" was used against us for having the audacity to sign one of the world's (then) top players! Obscene. The kind of word you might use when describing a paedophile.

It won't go away unfortunately, we just have to ignore them. I don't buy or read newspapers but I do tend to watch ssn and they can be quite sickly sometimes.

When a handful of City fans chanted 'Who put the ball in the Munich's net?' at Blackburn (which you could only hear on the telly if you cranked the set up to the level of an Alice Cooper concert), the filthy City hating Daily Fail ran no less than 7 'Munich chanting' stories in 6 days, each containing some combination of the words 'City', 'vile' or 'sick' in capital letters in the main headline, with that bastard Ian Ladyman responsible for half of them.
Fast forward to last night then and the entire away end was caught bellowing 'Istanbul' at Elland Road, in response to the rest of the ground singing 'Who's that dying on the runway'. It's been the lead story on SSN all day and yet Ladyman managed to compile a match report that didn't mention it at all, and the Daily Mail has yet to run a single thread on the topic. I'm sorry to go on and on about the papers, but these bastards drive me insane with their outrageous bias against us. That is all.

No its not and in the media that is covering it, its being very much airbrushed over and the slant being given is that it was in response to Leeds chants. Fuck me after Blackburn last season we even had politicians venting their spleen at the "vile" behaviour of City fans with a media onslaught demanding and end to our "disgraceful" chants.

Fucking bullshit. You went with an Istanbul banner and that alone tells anyone with a shred of intelligence that it was premeditated.

Of course, those giving it large last night will be full of crocodile tears come Feb as they gather round to sing "Flowers of Manchester".

Good and bad in all sets of fans fella but this little episode has finally exposed a lot of rags for the hypocrites that they are.

The two waving the banner around seem to have distinctive shirts on. One with a white stripe across the front, the other with a mustard top on. The videos not the best quality but, together with surveillance pictures from in and around the ground and the willing help of Manchester United it should be possible to identify the culprits and ban them for life from Old Trafford and Leeds.
