Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

we're being progressively treated more and more like something Soriano's just trodden in.

What got me about the email I received was the tone of the email I received over something that wasn't my fault. Having spoken to my bank they confirmed that no attempt had been made by the club to collect the D Drs on either of the 2 stated collection dates.

Had I not been able to make payment on the day of the Arsenal game and had my tickets cancelled I'd now be in the unfortunate position of having to take the club to court.
Certainly wasn’t a friendly tone.

Yes very annoying. I spoke to someone yesterday who said “this has happened to a lot of people so we are just taking bank details and the club will sort”

I have no faith that they will so am going to phone back at some point and just pay it off.

They absolutely take fans for granted nowadays.
Happened to someone I know as well this.

He was that pissed off he nearly didn’t bother getting it sorted and felt like fucking it all off… he changed his mind, but I bet some don’t.

A ploy by the club to reduce season ticket numbers and increase match tickets for the nobodies, I wonder?

Alex, please don't take this the wrong way but if City Matters, through your good offices have compiled a report and, as CM represent the fans, surely you should a) let the fans see the report and b) tell the club that's what you have done/are doing because the fans are important and you need to keep them onside so to speak?
Maybe then the club will speak up?
Not taken the wrong way and perhaps my first message was too cautious. It is absolutely my intention for this to be shared more widely and I totally agree with your point about being more forthright with the club (when needed).

It doesn’t surprise me that the club haven’t bothered to say anything.

I got a lovely email off them today telling me my direct debit had been cancelled (not sure why as I hadn’t cancelled it) and they had suspended my ST and would be cancelling it if u didn’t pay up within 2 weeks but with zero option to pay online. The tone of their email left a sour taste when I’ve been going for 45 years.

Who is in charge of supporter communication?
Can you send me the email? Of course, without the personal details. (A PM is fine or my email: Alex.Howell@citymatters.co.uk)

Thank you. I’m glad you understood. Good luck with the club. I totally agree with your last two words as well :-)

I had the same a few weeks ago and they gave me until tomorrow to resolve it or would cancel my season ticket. I had to call up and pay a balance on the last month of last season, which for some reason wasn’t taken and as such the direct debit was cancelled. I was having so much fun in Wembley/Istanbul that I didn’t notice it had never gone out, but I never cancelled it myself
