Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

The organisation was an absolute shit show. They should not have hosted this game at this location.

Having said that I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Charging what they did for the tickets was a piss take too.

Agreed but as Turkey isn’t in euro why the fuck should we pay in euro. Some scammers walking up and down aisles with UEFA ID which was obviously faked trying sell small cartons of water for 100tl. Robbing cunts which is what I told one. Heard of these people paying stewards to get into fan zone etc to sell overpriced shit.
Even had a police man inside the ground ask if he could have a light .I said it's a no smoking stadium he just laughed and said so what

If someone died in that car park last night it would have been no suprise.
Seeing old couples, wheelchair users, people on crutches just left to fend for themselves pissed me right off.
I even witnessed a fella get pinned up against the back of a bus by a private mini bus as he was trying to edge forward as blues walking between busses in pitch black. The twat of a driver wouldn’t even move back until he realised he was about 4 seconds away from getting dragged out of his van.
We got lucky really , waited for a while for a shuttle until I realised it was a waste of time, started walking for a hour in the wrong direction road side in pitch black, then managed to get a taxi on the app who wanted 100euro to get me out of the shithole which i happily paid.

It was. We thought we got the last few spaces but then some fella decided that there was room for four more and forced us further into the bus with nothing to hold onto. My feet were in agony trying to keep my balance.
I was right at the front ,had to force the door shut behind me ,before we picked you up he was driving like a loon at full speed ,changing lanes without warning and using his phone for texts whilst on the motorway.if anything happend half a dozen of us would have gone flying through the windscreen
However he was actually a likable ,cheery chap

This should be a bigger story than it is and I encourage everyone to write to the club to complain and escalate to UEFA. I definitely will be doing once I'm home and will post a version if anyone wants to use it.

There was NO PROVISION for disabled people, which is absolutely basic. The floor was shingle, people were dragging wheelchairs through it in the heat. I saw a woman with a false leg have to get out of her wheelchair to walk and find a bus. Shameful from UEFA yet again.

No toilets, no access to water. These aren't "nice to have" features they are minimum basics.

I was on one of the packed shuttle buses to IST Airport. Had nothing to drink since 7pm because of the issues getting drinks in the stadium and my auntie who is in her 60s was suffering. Notwithstanding the 2+ hours to get out of the car park, it was good to see all the blues looking out for each other, making sure everyone was ok. I think some old school city gallows humour got us through. Thank god we won because all that was stopping things getting dangerous in that car park was that the city fans were in a celebratory mood. It felt like that car park had been “built” in the last week as an afterthought. Club need to take it up with Uefa, but I doubt anything will come of it.
