I'm too long in the tooth to become like a typical rag mate of arrogant expectancy. If we went down next season is be gutted but I'd still go to games. I've never forgotten where we were and I think everything we win nowadays is a big bonus. Being a blue was never about having more support, more trophies and a bigger stadium, but we eventually may have more support, more trophies and a bigger stadium. I probably won't live long enough to see it, but I'm living to see them being less of a threat nowadays, but things can and probably will change for their better and our worse.
I have several red mates I've known years. I don't need to wind them up, I just grin at their current demise with a bit of banter thrown in to remind them they are history, whilst we are the present and future. That well and truly sickens them, so I don't need to rub it in further: )
Rags ( on the other hand) is a term I use for United fans who are arrogant know nowt expectant gob shites. The ones who have no natural affinity to United and only 'support' them on TV through success. Mark Goldbridge is the epitome of a typical rag IMO. My mates are just decent reds who support the other lot, and we've had football banter together for years, usually in the pub. They are a bit quiet nowadays though; )
I don't ever want us(collectively) to become like the rags have been with us, but singing a few songs about them in their current misery, yeah why not?
The irony of 'City are a massive club'...lol.
