It’s hot

Our lad (30) has just informed me and his Mum that he wont be in for tea on Tuesday.
Fair enough as its nothing new, but then he informs us that 6 of `em are going for a fucking curry !!!
The hottest day for centuries and you go and stuff your mouth with a fucking hot curry !!!
The kids of today `eh.
It's a sensible thing to do, the spices in curries like cumin and turmeric help to cool your body down

Seriously both myself and the missus tend to eat far, far less when the weathers hot, but get through plenty of water, fruit, jellies which have been in the fridge and yogurts.
Said to my missus we should live in the Med as I`d be about 4 stone lighter.

I seem to remember on QI with whatshisface about the origin and I`m certain it was somewhere like Mexico, but I stand to be corrected on that.
Was masala from Scotland ?
The name is tamil and the first archealogic evidence of grinding spice methods is from 200BC in an area in what is now Pakistan.

The link to south america was the introduction of chillies in the 1700s which were previously indigenous to the americas not asia
