It’s hot

We are very good as a country when it comes to using renewables for our energy.

Around 44% of our energy comes from renewable sources.
Unless you factor in all the shit we buy from China, India and the rest. It’s no good cutting emissions here and then buying from countries powering their economies through increased coal production.
Things we could easily do though:
Solar panels on all new builds, any covenants that are stopping them going on to current houses scrapped. A proper ‘feed in tariff’, encouraging people to use less and help supply the grid and proper insulation and double glazing fitted.
IF electric cars are the answer, build the supporting infrastructure BEFORE you announce you’re banning diesel and petrol cars. Properly subsidise public transport so it’s affordable for ALL and make it run at times of day when people will use it.

UK per capita Co2 emissions are equivalent to the numbers of the mid-1800's. None of us can do anything more unless we completely give up stuff like cars entirely which is impossible.

The only major polluters at an individual level are the people telling us how bad the problem is.

Thats literally not true.

'Meat accounts for nearly 60% of all greenhouse gases from food production, study finds.'

Thank god we've officially hit 40c. The UK media can now all spunk over themselves in excitement as a way to stay cool.

It might also kick a few dickheads into gear and realise we have a bit of a fucking problem on our hands...

Didn't want all the nobheads going on about 'it aint that bad' when we were at 39.

Look at the shit fit some threw when being asked to wear a mask for a few months. Good luck telling them to cut down on eating meat.
