I’m all for signing kids, I really am as our squad was too old. We we could do with a couple of midfielders with instant quality though.
Kimmich and Wirtz would do! It looks like we are thinking about the first at least for this window.

Very much doubt us and Kimmich are talking. Terrible souce.
Only Cambiasos signing matters if we get that over the line. But still no sign of a midfielder.

Logically a ready made world class midfielder is out of question now.
Because why any selling club would chose this time to do a deal for their world class player since they won’t even have the time to replace him and assuming these are good teams - why would they put a serious dent on their season by selling their world class talent.
So either it’s Luiz or a Khusanov like signing who would be raw with high potential.
So not one that can move a needle in this season.
Hopefully we are prepared for a massive summer.

Cambiasso would defo play inverted or even centre mid so maybe that’s the solutionOnly Cambiasos signing matters if we get that over the line. But still no sign of a midfielder.

At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious, I think if the club doesn't pull a World Class rabbit out the hat, or sign Luiz on loan until the summer, then I think we'll wait until the summer & go big.Logically a ready made world class midfielder is out of question now.

We've seen the devastation caused to our season for having no Rodri backup. We paid £63m to ensure we can rest & rotate Haaland with a high quality addition in Moose. If not now, then in the summer I feel we'll do the same with Rodri.
The one thing I doubt the club will do is go further down the B & C list & try to fill such a crucial position from there, considering the mess we've made with Philips & Nunes. I feel we'd rather wait to get the big hitter we need.
