It’s Quiet 20 - What is the Wirtz that could happen?

They can have Trent. He will grab a bag of assists but any winger worth their salt will just utterly decimate him.

Zubimendi I am yet to be convinced by in all honesty.

I watched him for Sociedad against United and thought he was average and lightweight. He is a good player but if Madrid are willing to let Camavinga go for him they are losing not gaining.

They said the same about Marcelo and Roberto Carlos, magnificent attacking players but shocking defenders but they both won numerous titles.

How many times are a top Madrid side genuinely threatened?

My point was to be honest mate that they are continuing to hoover up talent? Camavinga may be the fall guy as onece TAA arrives then Valverde can go back into midfield?
i don’t see the connection. Valverde will play midfield regardless. Carvajal or TAA he will go back anyways.

They are improving their already hugely talented squad and arguably their best midfielder has been playing RB? Once TAA signs he will play there and then they add Zubimendi in to their squad after already adding Mbappe recently and their overall squad depth is frightening? Ours on the other hand has been left to age drastically and i have serious doubts we will be prepared to do the prices and the volume we need to get us back up to them levels?

We only need all our players back according to Pep

Surley even pep doesnt believe that
Has Pep ever even suggested that with respect to next season?
The nearest I can remember him saying anything like that is saying we would be better this season with our players fit.

As Rodri , most of our centre backs and Bobb have been injured for the majority of the season it is not exactly a wild claim.

Had we got Stones able to advance into midfield and Akanji at Rt back for most of the season we might not be in a position to win the title but we'd be in a far stronger position than we currently are and quite possibly still in Europe.

His contribution is overestimated. Others way more important

He is one of important men during treble seasons.

Sick some people downplaying his earlier contributions just because he is downed tool this season.

At the end day, he is one of the part that contributes our treble seasons, no one i mean absolutely no one including some twats on here will takes away from him.

No he wasnt....

This has nothing to do with his performances (or lack of) this season.

As an attacking playing he contributes very little in any season he has been here. He doesnt create many chances, doesnt score many (doesnt even get into scoring positions very often despite Pep publicly saying this at times), rarely beats a player. He is good at retaining possession which I accept is important in a Pep team but its easy to retain possession when you are passing backwards and sideways and not taking risks.
He was overpriced (not his fault) and is overrated.

Not how the impact of all players is measured. Saying he wasn't an important part of the treble team is just weird. He obviously was.
imho he wasnt....he was a possibly one of the least important

Gundo
Foden
bernardo
Rodri
Haaland
Walker
Ederson
Stones (on the CL final itself)

All much more significant impact on the season - all magnificent game after game -

You could argue Dias for his leadership contributions as well as consistent performances on the pitch.

Naming others that were also influential doesn't diminish one you aren't naming and don't seem to want to for whatever reason. He played a lot of minutes we won a treble. Trebles aren't won carrying passengers. Why so difficult to admit he was an important part of a great achievement.

I said that they were way more influential.....so in direct contrast to saying that Grealish was one of the most influential Im showing that that is fantasy....

All those named had consistent and significantly greater impact on that treble season throughout the whole course of that season

Was it Grealish's best season in a city shirt - yes undoubtedly....but he was no where near the most influential player - nowhere near.

There is no reason other than that I think calling him influential is plainly wrong.
