Yeah, I dont think we are buying a RB.

At best maybe Aina on a cheap deal.

But im fine with Akanji there in that more 4 CB system.

Or rotating Nunes and Lewis there.

Nunes has showed me he can really do it well, so im not worried about that position.

Equally at LB, O Reilly has given me confidence he can play there.

I think the defensive options will start to look really good in a few weeks.

Is there a different angle that he’s realised the level has caught up with him, he knows what’s needed here and can’t deliver it? That wages wise it suits us too and he isn’t left around like a spare part and can leave with great memories of special moments for the club all round? Not sure anyone can question his on pitch commitment.

And frankly, it suits us as no good was going to come from him making more mistakes he’s incapable of learning from and more were incoming.

Club have been briefing for over a month, they'd let him go and/or listen to offers. Not surprised he had something lined up (or was called by clubs)

I dont rate him as a person so i dont think he is doing it for us
