Walker has been cooking up this move for a while seeing as he hasnt been interested and making mistakes for a while. Nice of the captain to be awol all season and dumps us in the worst time we have had in nine years

Nice one
Rubbish. If he wasn't interested, pep would banish him from the squad. He hasn't gone awol either, he's asked to leave knowing that he's done at this level, we don't have to let him leave, and he's not going to refuse to play if he doesn't go, he's even been playing for us through injury.

Shitty thing to be questioning the commitment of our current captain, the premier leagues best ever right back based on nothing but your own perceptions. How about you just thank him for all the trophies he's contributed towards us winning and let him leave with nothing but our thanks.

Agreed he has been a magnificent player for us , that goes without saying, where has our captain been, when we needed him to be the spokesman for the team? On his podcast is where and not concentrating when he did play

That is my opinion , i shall leave it there

Go on a free, waves anything we owe. Milan pay it in the signing bonus.

We don't owe anything, he has asked to leave, bonus waived already.

I am all good with the club lerting a long term olayer go for free out of respect and whatever. But it pisses against out public policy over the years - bring us the right fee and you can go, and it shits on players that have reapected that like bernardo, garcia, torres, alvarez, etc.

That is such a minor thing, it's nothing compared to the near decade of success he's given us. Him asking to leave will free up money too, he could have sat on a massive wage for another 18 months, he's going to wave any loyalty bonuses, there is so much to be grateful for rather than focusing on such a tiny thing.

Only with a an official transfer request I think. I dont know what fee he has been told to bring or not etc or what bonuses are set out for appearances/loyalty dates etc. Assume Milan will eat that cost here.

He should have spoke with Pep first

By Peps response yesterday he didn’t

Just decent wages, approx 15m left on his contract

Personally I'll be glad to see the back of Walker. Been a great servant for us but unfortunately I can't look past his off-field antics now. Comes across as a total scumbag and I've been supporting him since the revelations broke through gritted teeth. I don't care if you're a Messi/Zidane hybrid; I don't want thoroughly unpleasant people playing for our team.

So, thanks for everything Kyle, but kindly don't come back.

What fee are we going to get for a 34 year old on big wages whos lost his pace..

Remember travelling back from Italy during the takeover and signing Robinho. Was a wild time and wasn’t as easy getting info, couldn’t believe what was happening when my Dad told me.
The rumour on the Man Utd official forums is that Sergio 'Kun' Aguero has landed in Manchester. Debate is as to whether he going red or blue. Hoping red!"

Yeah, I dont think we are buying a RB.

At best maybe Aina on a cheap deal.

But im fine with Akanji there in that more 4 CB system.

Or rotating Nunes and Lewis there.

Nunes has showed me he can really do it well, so im not worried about that position.

Equally at LB, O Reilly has given me confidence he can play there.

I think the defensive options will start to look really good in a few weeks.
Against a Liverpool, Bayern, or Real Madrid among others Nunes, Rico, and Nico are not the answer at outside back. Probably not an answer versus any in form Prem side either. We're looking to get back to being Man City not makeshift city...

If Walker had any significant resale value and/or still was important to us I'm sure we would do that now as well. But thats not the case and we would probably be happy with not having to pay him the remaining 15-20m we owe him on his contract.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we are waiting to hear about Reis. Could see us playing the rest of the season with Akanji/Lewis. If Reis stays in Brazil/doesn’t happen we will get a right back.

It wouldn't shock me to see khusanov at RB also. Pep will see the fullback spaces as a good place for him to slot in and learn.
