The reason they are where they are in the table is because the team consist of young talent early in their development before they get snatched up and those other punts they have taken that hasn't quite developed to be world-beaters. Also a bit naive and stupid style of play at times.

Of course players get signed and then it takes a few days to announce it. Within minutes of a signing being announced the player has an official club interview where they are wearing the club shop put up online. Do you think it was all done within seconds of the ink drying? In some cases they have to play the piano. There’s a lot of PR goes into it. You don’t sign a player then just announce it and do the rest later in dribs and drabs. The Swiss Toni approach of “signing a football player is not unlike making love to a beautiful woman” won’t do these days. You don’t just turn over and fart on her leg after the deed.

People have to stop saying Khusanov is going to play RB. He doesn't play the position. He's been the central sweeper in a back 3 for Lens. He's a no nonsense defender in the mold of Dias. It would extremely unlikely for Pep to use him as a RB, going forward, inverting, all the things you would expect from the position. Back 3 with someone on the left inverting? Akanji, Stones would be better on the right side.

Personally I always say if a player just skills past 3 players then fair play. Other than that I thought our out of position performance was really good
