Viana is apparently a big fan of Baturina, I think Sam Lee said something similar that we like him a lot. I watched him a couple of times during the U21 Euros in 2023, and he really stood out. I`ve only seen him play for Croatia, not club football, but plenty of big clubs are sniffing around.Could be, but personally I'd be surprised to see us go for another defensive mid. Think more likely we'll be looking for a creative attacking midfielder.

I think there could definitely be room for both a DM/CM and AM after Gonzalez, not so sure KDB will stay another year on massive wages and limited availability. Don`t think Essugo and Baturina would be much more than £60m combined in the summer, which would be incredible business. Essugo is more of a Fernandinho type, a proper destroyer that would also complement Rodri`s strengths. Could easily see them playing together

I agree but I think Gonzalez is pretty much the Gundogan replacement, from what I've read he’s more an 8 than a 6 but will play and can play 6 this season.Can’t take any chances with KDB and Gundo replacements. Get the best we can and cough up. If we don’t we could be back to square one again.

The KDB replacement doesn’t exist in the market right now. Baena is the closest probably, but he’s nowhere near KDBs levels and lacks many of KDBs most important strengths. I can’t see us only going with only Foden and Echeverri after the summer, but I don’t think any of Baturina, Sudakov etc is a very big upgrade on Echeverri either. It’s a tough position to fill at the moment
