We seem to be heading in a downward spiral here, both on and off the pitch, fucking sort it out City ffs quick
But that's totally not our problem on SS1. It's the clubs job to keep us safe? We're entitled to have a moan and it's not up to us to come up with solutions?Club has too give them the allocation where else can they be put?
The club will put forward their plans for the game , the away allocation seating, the number of stewards , Policing, number of medical staff etc and the Local safety group then pass it if they are happpy with it and deem it is ‘safe’, or they might say you need more Police , stewards etc . I am not sure how, after the Liverpool game, they can deem the plans ‘safe’, when to me people’s safety is being endangered by having objects flying at their head.Is it possible that the club are working up an argument for not giving that allocation to away fans on safety grounds? I don’t know how it works but do the club have to say at the start of the season how many they are giving and are they gathering evidence for future games to reduce that number? I don’t know, I am just asking.
This is from the FA site
”FA Cup rules allow for an away allocation of up to 15% of the home stadium.
"However this is subject to the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) agreeing to that ticket allocation number.”
The away teams claim this (in our case 15% is around 7600). It is not a right but up to the local SAG (council, police, medics etc). Perhaps the SAG have said that it is OK for them to be up there and it is up to us to show that it is not safe? As I said, I don’t know just asking the questions.
Exactly. For example, for donkey's years we've been in the top tier at St James' without anything like this happening. Ditto Stadium of Light when the Mackens were in the PL. If some clubs can't control their fans then the allocation should be cut. Simples. It's absolutely ridiculous that the safety of home fans should be put at risk. I'd put money on some of the Arse fans throwing things down a week on Friday - seems like they've been given an open invitation.I don’t understand why they can’t be given three tiers ie 113/4, 213/4 and 313/4
We will see what happens with Arsenal but the main issue here is the 2 clubs involved and weak stewarding/policing - loads of away games we are above home fans and we’re not raining piss and coins down on them.
Well put, this message needs to get to the security bods at the clubThe way City are playing, I don’t think the Arsenal fans will be throwing anything as they’ll be celebrating a win.
That aside. Is away 6000 tickets in L3 not enough?
Why doesn’t the club approach the FA (and the other club) and ask for special ticket dispensation, explaining the on-going problems, and asking for the away ticket allocation to be reduced to 6000 tickets with no away fans in L2 above the City fans.
As I keep on f*cking repeating to the f*cking brain dead directors and decision makers at City, put up large netting at the front of L3 and L2.
All it takes are metal brackets placed into the bottom of the concrete walls, and tall poles with netting, placed into them, and stretched out along the length of the tiers. It won’t be expensive.
But instead they’ll throw £1000’s trying (in vain) to improve the match day experience, like laser shows, etc instead of making sure City fans are safe and protected on a match day, which is a much more important and better match day experience, is it not?!
One more small point. Not a f*cking word from the club about Liverpool or Chelsea fans throwing objects at City fans and what the club are doing about and have done about it. Everything at the club is done in total secrecy, and there’s not one bit of feedback to the fans. Sorry I forgot, the tie in with Liverpool football club and that disgusting email that was sent to City fans.
