It could only happen to us!

there is only one person to blame for this and mancini has to carry the can. apparently some agent phoned him over the summer and asked whether he wanted some new crocs..... imagine his disappointment as he was expecting some of those perforated plastic clogs favoured by danish holidaymakers and outdoor types.....

We have only really benefited from Yaya and Milner so far. It's a good thing the likes of Barry and Kolo have stepped up a level so far this season, they look rejuvenated, a bit like new players.

To be fair Barry looked class for the first 20 games of last season but was not rested properly which left him fatigued in the 2nd half of the season. Toure got his bro here now and maybe needed a season to settle in. I think, and I myself have been guilty of this in the past, fans seem to look at footballers as commodities and forget they are, themselves human, and some humans take more time to settle and adjust to a new team, area, and in some cases country and culture. It's not their 'fault' they get paid such excessive wages and we should not forget that underneath all the superstar status and pay they are just young lads who have huge talent with a football in common, but as personalities that is often where the similarities end.

I thought Barry was good up until that Villa game, after that he became quite inconsistent, then looked tired in the second half of the season i agree. I'd actually rest him against Blackburn with a view to him being fresh for the away match at Wigan then Chelsea, move Milner into left side of the middle 3 and put Silva on the left (imagine Milner and Silva working together against Salgado).

Rate Richards as highly as Boateng and Ade higher than Balotelli so I'm not too fussed. Kolarov is a huge miss though.

If you get so many injuries to new players in such a short time then I'd be tempted to look at training methods.

As I posted this I just saw the PhysioRoom.com (here). Looks like Hughes' training is really preventing injuries at Fulham.
