Our old British and other Northern European ancestors used to start decorating their homes with Winter greenery from what would be the beginning of our November onwards.

After what was known as Samhain in Britain.

And kept them up until what would be our February.

Could never get my head around Christmas in Australia, 90 degrees heat, barbecue on the beach. Just wrong.

It's been a pretty shit year for everybody. If it brings them a bit of joy putting up Xmas decorations, Halloween decorations or buying fucking Easter eggs, then fair fucking play.

Must admit I can't wait to get the house looking festive and get a bit of the old jolly shit rocking round the place.

Sooner Christmas is here the sooner we see the back of 2020 and can start looking onwards to a year of possibly gettting back to some kind of normality.
