It seems to have been forgotten

Re: It seems to have been forgotten

I dont think Bayern are as good as we made them look last night.

Watching live, I thought that too for those 30 minutes at least.

Their back four - I said out loud to no one else in the pub I was in - can definitely be got at. Still can. Their centre halves were ponderous although Philipp Lahm (one of my favourite players) is speedy and as you know has a thunderbolt of a right foot.

Think it's been mentioned by a number of folk to be honest...as much as we did play well for maybe 35 mins it was alarming how quickly the game was lost and how very poor our efforts to get back in the game second half were.
Did we throw in the towel or was there something going on at half time that preceeded the Tevez debacle and had an impact on the squad??...we did look devoid of ideas second half.
Spot on. That second half performance was our worst (by some distance) since the no-show at Anfield last spring. Disturbing to see just how far behind Bayern we were last night.

You mean the 2nd half where we drew 0-0 with the powerhouse of German football ?
No. I mean the second half where the Bayern' keeper could have got out the garden furniture and relaxed, such was our lack of efforts on goal. Which is piss poor when you're 2 down in a CL game. THAT second half.

I think he means the second half where from 2-0 down we failed to put any pressure on the home teams goal...a 0-0 half when you are 2-0 down is a bit f@cking pointless really.
Correct.

Re: It seems to have been forgotten

Anyone but me think like this? We gave as good, if not better, than we got for 35 minutes, but when when we didn't break thro, it seemed like all of a sudden the will to live(win) deserted us.

Joe was brilliant an' I don't agree all the time with punditry but maybe this time there was summat in the summation when you look at the defendin'. No names mentioned cos the midfield was in my opinion ineffective too. I believe in Mancini an' can see where he was comin' from with the substitutions he made; I've commented on the Tevez saga in another thread.

Will we ever lose the seeminly' eternal "we can't do this" millstone? When are we gonna wake up an realise how bloody good we actually are? It's an 11 against 11 game an' our 11 are as good as theirs.

Believe Blues. I wish I could just have once in my life put that shirt on an' say I played for City. That's all. Just for once. Believe. Everythin's there. Please just show us how good you actually are!
