A bit worried about Pickford, his distribution was awful against Denmark, hope he has a great game, but his arse had gone last game. Going long when he had the opportunity to go short and vice versa, kicking loads into touch, giving possession away in dangerous positions and that throw out straight to the Dane, couldn't sort his feet out numerous times for clearances. Keepers need to be solid, a calming influence on the defence, not being a bottle job, hope he handles the pressure better this time.

Yeah they were and Insigne scored a great goal.
England will have to keep an eye on him, he could cause a lot of trouble, especially if he makes those runs from deep.

I'm not looking forward to this game, this is England's toughest by far and I think Italy will be too battle tested and prove too much for us in the end.
No pressure then.
Relax and enjoy the moment mate, win lose or …. well lose.
I reckon you’ll beat them on penalties and have no fingernails left and be a nervous wreck at the end while all us neutrals get our full value for money.

No guarantee you’ll get to a final again for God knows how long, although I believe that this is only the start of an era for this team.

Go with the journey. Love it regardless of the result.

He needs to start catching the ball when he can.

I feel really bad about this game, but not for the reason you're probably thinking.

My son is 7 and I've told him loads of times that Mancini is the best manager of all time because he was the boss when Aguero scored that goal. He thinks that Mancini kind of controlled Aguero to score the goal and as it was such an important goal, no one else - not even Pep - can beat him. I told him it was the greatest goal ever scored in England.

He says that because Mancini is so good at managing it's not really worth England playing them as it's unfair. He thinks Southgate should say to Mancini that as Italy have won the World Cup a few times that they should give us a chance :)

I can't wait to watch it with him and I really hope we win as it will show him how magical football can be!!

Can't win with some people on here.... when we were sh*t, we were sh*t, and when we are great, and we have been very solid this tournament, we're still sh*t!? To have come so far since the debacle of Euro 2016 is amazing really, and I'll think that whether we win or not on Sunday!

I am on the journey but i'm invested as i'm English so i won't love it unless we win, even though i'm too old to get that upset about losing these days (that bit doesn't apply when i'm watching City tho)

I've never seen England win anything, i was 1 in 1966 and was in front of the TV apparently but that doesn't count.

I was really upset in 1990 and i'm still convinced we would have won it if we got to the final. I was at every game in 1996, when i really thought we'd win it after demolishing Holland, but that's as close as we've really been.

This year i thought we'd come close especially how the draw played out, but i just think Italy are better at the moment. I picked them before the tournament, put an each way bet on them at 10/1 and i think they will win.

I think because Italy have played and beaten better teams that it'll be an advantage for them and they will be too strong for us, but you never know.

One things for sure, i'll be with my mates in the pub and we'll be buzzing, so that's all that matters, the rest is out of our hands.

Not sure I have seen many posts saying we are shit(manager excepted), not sure you are expressing yourself very well as you went from great to very solid within 5 words.

Anyhow pre tournament France were quite big favourites and were certainly the best team, once they went out the only team you could argue were better than us were Belgium but they look like their trajectory is downhill. The other big nations ain’t what they used to be so the competition was wide open once the French departed.

We are a good side who got a favourable draw and played almost exclusively at home. Mancini has done a very good job with the Italian team so the final will be the first real test we have faced.

It will be an interesting game on Sunday and we will know a bit more about where we are at. To be amazed and mention a tournament from 5 years ago is somewhat stretching credibilty in your rather premature praise.

I said the same to my son tonight.... This is going to be the nations memory for the next twenty years, dont remember it as being grumpy about it
