Poor goalkeeping, but I still see Italy as the dark horses

Has any one tipped Italy as an outside bet? I have gone with Spain but I could see them running them close.

I too fancy Italy to do well. They will be much better defensively at the Euro Champs. IMO only Spain have a better midfield, Buffon is still a great keeper and they have goals and defensive resilience.

Would love to see Balo score a 90th min pen in the final.

Balos had an okay game held the ball up well and played some decent through balls but you still get the feeling he will do something stupid and I wish he would stay on his feet more.

Salvatore Sirigu should be number 2 goalkeeper. Worrying defensive performance though. The Russians deserved the win.

You have to keep in mind this was a meaningless friendly, I wouldn't be drawing any conclusions or writing Italy off based on this game. England won all(?) qualifying games leading up to the last World Cup but failed on the big stage when it mattered.

and poor defending too, if they want to play against spain this way... well we should withdraw.
