the good old days of going from jan to may without 1 prem goal at home !
but just staying up, those were the days.

You right let's bring back frank Clark as well or all the donkey managers we've had! They should play the city vs bury game on the big screen at the stadium and lock all the moaners in and make em watch it from start to finish! NOW THAT WAS BORING SHITE FOOTBALL! and don't give me we've spent 1 billion I don't give a toss it's a miracle we doing as well as we are! With all the new players and a manager that's just been there 18 months!

I remember baconfaces first 5 years the football was utter garbage 99% of the fans wanted him SACKED! and the money he spent was well over what any other club could spend! People av very very short memories!!

The OP is correct, the football is shit and has been for weeks.

Certainly not good enough to sustain top four at present.

Hopefully we get knocked out on Thursday night, and we can free up some of schedule.

Yeah, the football recently has been really shit. It's been that shit that we have won TEN & drawn one of our last eleven home games. It's been that shit that we've scored THIRTY goals in those games & conceded just six. Then there's the shit (unlucky actually) away performances at Villa & Manure plus the defensive masterclass at the Arse.

The football may not be Barca-esque but the results are far from shit. Or would you rather lose 4-3 every week playing flowing, gung-ho football?

No reason at all why we can't sustain top four, even playing as shit as we are. I believe we will.

The Noisy Negatives wont give you an answer to this pal. Majority of them are still in hiding because we won. They'll be back on Thursday if we dont manage to beat Kiev and it will be all Mancinis fault because he isnt an ex rag curly haired tossbag with a penchant for employing Welsh people (that hugely successful footballing nation).

The OP is getting a slating. But some people on here can see beyond the scoreline.

Let the haters hate. Let's see where all these keyboard warriors are at the end of the season.

OHHH no what a poor post, someone whos willing us to fail.

Reading set up to frustrate, just like Brum did, just like Blackburn did etc, but the job was done efficiently and without us looking in any significant danger at all.

I personally think yesterday could be a bit of a psychological breakthrough for the lads, we are finally getting just the tiniest sliver of joy from set pieces, and sometimes thats exactly what you need against those teams that set out to defend deep. Hopefully defence and mid can chip in with a lot more goals between now and seasons end.

That's a horrid post.

1) You're 'the hater', my gangsta chum. Everyone else is loving today's victory.
2) You're actually willing Mancini to fuck up? So you can lord it over 'all these keyboard warriors' at the end of the season?

Awful, awful attitude.

1. There are plenty of derogatory posts aimed at the OP in this thread. Kindly direct me to any I have made.

Yet you have the audacity to call me a "hater".

Jog on, sunshine.

2. Erm, no. Why try and misrepresent what I wrote? I pointed out that the OP (like many others on this board) can see beyond the scoreline and can discern that the way we are playing is not going to result in meaningful success in the long-term. Hence the end of season reference. The 1.0 today masks a lot of deficiencies in the way the team plays.

All the haters in this thread who have jumped on the OP with abuse can only see the scoreline, and jump up and down bashing their keyboards at anyone who 'dares' to voice any disent at the actual tactics and performance. And the rags references are laughable.

Grow up.

I'm delighted we have won. So, I'm sure, is the OP. However, only the delusional will think that was a good performance against a Championship team with their first choice defence wiped out.
You are an absolute cock, unfortunately you are not on your own, this forum is riddled with tiny minded, miserable little fuckers like you. If it is so bad watching City then why do you bother. No doubt you'll be first inline to shout for Mourinho, but the football his teams play are no different to what we're seeing at City.
Finally I know from experience that depression manifests itself in many guises, I suggest you see your Dr as I can see no other reason for your miserable exhistence.

firstly let me say that I am extatic that we have got to Wembley and what a header it was by Richards...anf fully deserved after teh way he has been playing int he last couple fo months.

The performance however was quite poor....plenty of possession and some ok chances but he stats do misrepresent how many of those shots on goals were actually clear cut chances...not many were

Overal the football has been getting steadily worse since the utd game at OT. We are becoming slower and slower in midfield, lots of possession but most of it is going backwards or sideways.....lots ofthe passes are to feet instead of to a man running into space. We have lost all pace in the side and those players that do have some pace are rarely in a position to use it (with the exception of richards)

Those people that are getting accused of being moaners/anti mancini are simply pointing out the obvious floors in his tactics. The way we play may have got us to where we are now but it wont get us much futher without huge slices of luck....

Anyone who watched the utd/arsenal game will know that the way utd play with pace on and off the ball and also moving the ball itself at pace is the wya to be successful...they ahd a limited starting 11 in their game but still beat arsenal comfortably by playing at pace...we on the other hand move the ball so slowly that even fat sam on tv after the game said that when he comes to play city he knows that he has time to get 9-10 players behind the balll because we have such slow build up play and that even with the players we have and as good as they are we will struggle to break down a 10 man defence.

People are rightly concerned because it wasnt a one off performace...there have been numerous like it and they know that it isnt going to change when all it needs is a little tweaking and we could win silverwear and get into the top 4 of the prem.

If he fails on both fronts I think he deserves to be sacked (not that i want him sacked however as stabliity is what is most important to this club right now)...but with the playing squad at his disposal and the money he has spent we all know that we could be playing so much better than we are

I shouldn't really be replying to us as i can't understand anyone who thought the performance was poor yesterday, we completely controlled the game, never looked like conceding and created a good few chances. You say we didn't create any clear cut chances, well personally i thought SWP twice, Yaya and Tevez twice should all have done better with chances and thats not to mention the save the keeper made from Micahs header and Silvas rebound where he didn't know anything about it

Football is not all about pace, the way we play football is all about keeping the ball which requires us to be patient and wear teams down at times, we aren't a team that is going to get in behind teams with pace, we are a team that will build up and pick passes in and around the area and reply on excellent use of the ball and vision mainly from Silva. It's a system that can work but unfortuantely a lot of fans don't like it because they see possession football as quite useless if we aren't going forward and creating numerous chances.

Funny that you mention Fat Sam, i'm sure he came here as Blackburn manager last year when Mancini was manager and we hammered them, what happened to us struggling to beat teams with men behind the ball? Teams will come and sit deep and make it difficult for us, if you think playing with pace will help against teams who sit deep then you are mistaken, when teams sit deep it means there is very little space in behind to exploit pace so it requires patient football where we will build up and wait for the right opening, this requires excellent movement from the forward players when we are in possession or we'll struggle

We've not played great of late but nor has United, Chelsea or Arsenal who have all struggled at times since the turn of the year, what we have done is continue to pick up results that put keep us in the top four in the league and now in the Semi Final of the cup

What is pleasing for me is in recent weeks we've gone back to looking solid at the back and with De Jong returning who is a massive player for us in terms of how we shape up and how we play i'm convinced we'll get better because we've got enough quality to score goals and keep clean sheets

There is a difference between talking about a team that needs to improve, and pretending the sky is falling or indeed willing the team to fail so you can be proven wright on an internet forum.

Before the OT derby Mancini had us playing some exciting stuff imo, then we were hit by a huge amount of injuries which meant that the same players had to play a big number of games, so saying Mancini is a shit maneger who should get sacked because we are not winning every game 10-0 is a bit silly.

I am not saying Mancini is perfect, but since we are 3th in the league and in a fa cup semi he must be doing something right.

The harsh response negative posts sometimes gets is simply people sick of hearing negative bollocks in the media about City and then coming on here and reading even worse crap.
